Well, the jackpot finally hit, and it wasn't with my ticket (I didn't match a single number on either panel!). It was won by a single ticket sold in Roscoe. The jackpot is now reset to $2 million, but it's just as well. I was going to stop playing the Illinois Lotto anyway since the Powerball jackpot is now greater than $100 million, which is enough to warrant two tickets per drawing for me.

$18,000,000 for Saturday, September 18!This is currently the fourth largest US jackpot!I think the Illinois lotto is just picking unlucky numbers, because the second and third place prize payouts per ticket have been, at least for the past three drawings, higher than they would have been if they had been paid as fixed prizes, meaning there's been less winners than expected at those levels.
