Technically you can take it to the bank the check is drawn on. Then you can ask them to cash it. They probably won't have 10/20 million dollars on hand. If you want to take your money with you and it's that much your gonna need a small security force a big truck or a lot of suitcases. In the USA almost all banks are fed reserve. If and when you win the lottery the lottery director and governor will tell you everything you need to know to get started in your new life.

I would set up about 20 accounts and enlist the help of a financial planner so I could dventually take it to one institution and have the money wired to the other accounts.I would also take the lump sum

Hello. New to the site. I was just wondering has anyone here actually won the lottery/ also how would you go about collecting the money? I am sure you just cant take a huge check to your bank and cash it? Would you have to use a fed bank? Just curious. Good luck everyone. I would take the lump sum.
