Having studied lottery results for 10 years I have become very supsicious about the running of certain games.There is a history of unexplained patterns- changes to the way numbers come out after machines have been changed. Consistent patterns in the amount of winners that some games throw outI know of one lottery where some punters claim they used to win small prizes fairly regularly, but now find it virtually impossible to do so. I agree with Guru that it is unlikely the Lottery Mandarins would take a chance on fixing the lotto, especially the televised type. Paul:Nono, don't get me wrong.It'll not make a difference for the results.What I mean is just some changes to make filling in and updating the draw data a little easier or other things similar to that.

spock:the first release of LS 1.8 will have all main functions for predicting, filtering and playing , but I'm planning to add some extra less important features to the program. These will probably follow a little later. The first version may also need some minor workflow optimalisation.

As Guru says I don't think any 1st world countries would risk cheating or deceiving their public with a lottery [politics is another matter heheh].I can see 2nd 3rd world countries trying this also some privately owned casino's which almost exclusively use computers for their draws.

BobP:Yeah, but why would they take such a big risk. Suppose this leaks out to the public. It would destroy their lotto game in an instant. Nobody would wanna play a fixed game anymore.Such a leak would not be unthinkeable. Another reason to fix a draw would be to reduce the number of lower tier prize payouts along with causing rollovers to stimulate play. Lottery Directors are under pressure to produce more then previous years, you don't win bonuses for bringing in less profits.If there is half an hour between the last ticket sold and the draw, is that enough time for a computer to find the combination with the lowest overall payout cost to the lottery? yeah! i have to agree with guru why bother fixing the game when it has already astronomical odds of winning it ie canada 6/49 1 in 13,983,816 although i will say this a couple of times fixing has crossed my mind when they had a delay in posting the 6/49 numbers due to technical difficulties when it happens it happens when the jackpot has reached 10 million or more hmmmm

lantern:I really don't think lotteries are fixed. The bad odds in lottery games explain poor system performance just perfectly.I believe a lottery with balls drawn from a machine and broadcasted live on television can be considered safe. expecially if there is an independant usher (hope that is the correct word) controlling the draw like in the belgian lotto. You can never be sure about numbers drawn with computer systems, but I really don't think that those lottery companies fix anything too. T... [ More ]

GuruI read what you wrote and yet have a very hard time believing it, I have never known of anybody anywhere able to do anything not even close to that, not in such a regular basis anyway, all that I can say is that it's incredible, but I am very glad that you was able to do it, WTG.Also I am very glad that LottoSync will be ready soon.I hope that we get it before the State and or Government lotteries buy you out, which they could maybe try to do if the program gets to be way too good and again...
