Good call, CASH - the jackpot for tonight (Mon. 12/20) fell way short of the projection ($1,661,494 - no winner). It looks very unlikely for a WinFall on Thursday now.

If the projections hold it will be close for 12/23 - their projection for Monday (12/20) is 1.725 million.Presuming no winner on Monday, I'll probably play 2 tickets* next Thursday anyway (then 2 more 12/27 if necessary).* 2-3-9-11-12-21 (days/months of my 2 nieces'/1 nephew's birthdates - and, no, 9/11 is NOT one of the birthdays) and 30-33-36-39-42-45 (all the #'s over 30 div. by 3).

I think $2 million is appealing, but the $2 ticket price is not. I think people look at their choices and think 2 tickets to go for $10-100 million in MegaMillions sounds better than 1 ticket to go for less than $2 million. And also, like me, they think that buying a $2 ticket is a vote of approval for $2 tickets, and if this game is a success, the lottery won't think twice about making every game $2.
