Yes, it's called the Birthday Paradox (where odds are 50/50 two people in a room of people share a birth day and month) and figures can be computed for how often there is a 50/50 chance of a number repeating after a range of draws. For example, in Pick-3 if you take a spread of 16 past draws and look at the next draw there is a better then 50/50 chance you will see the number in box form. No, you're fooling yourself if you think there is no predictability to the numbers or that some numbers don't have a better record nationwide of hitting then others.Professional lottery people who do weekly predictions know that if you take the 24 hottest numbers for the week nationwide for next week's prediction, you will average about 30 hits per day nationwide over the next week. I don't want to call what i do to find numbers to play a system because it's not really a system i use the history of the last 5 days worth of draws and look for numbers that repeat or hot number whatever you want to call them then i take two hot number and add a lukewarm or cold number. I don't play a lot of pick 3 numbers. I like pick 4 and match 5Some days i might use powertrails method just to see if my hunches are on or not. It doesn't pay to put too much effort studying the systems and software of lottery authors who haven't won or continued to win themselves. One has to view these works as tools for research and not winning prediction machines, though I do appreciate it when they try.It might even help to study their work as where they went wrong and zig where they zag. My bills are paid. Some people spend their money for all kinds of stuff they don't need. I get a kick out of winning money from playing numbers. Just like some people get a kick out of spending 200 dollars to go to a football game and watch a bunch of guys beat each other to smithereens. Last night in Maryland pick three 021 hit. Looking at my spread sheet I see that those numbers have been hot for a couple of days normally I wouldn't play the same number that hit in the last game but today I did 120 hit I had it boxed and straight. What do you call that luck or coincidence? Rabbitfoot, I must say that I was all into winning the Lottery. I was one of the worst. I used to have numbers swirling around in my head nonstop. I would wake up in the middle of the night and head to my computer. I could recite to you the first set of winning numbers for that year as well as the last set to win. I had it bad. Rabbitfoot, I cant agree that winning a lottery game is just luck. Luck to me is coming out of a chevy doing 120 ,rolling down the road and into a swamp on a back road with just a scratch on the head. Or walking into a USO club in Naples, Italy seconds before a car bomb blows up at the front door killing 5 or 6 others. I can think of alot of incidents where luck is involved. I've never lost a penny playing Pick 4 and it's not because of luck, it's because I don't play. The same thing is true for the California SuperLotto, but if I ever travel to California, I probably won't be able to say that any longer. Ooop!
