I play because I feel that I'm undertaxed and the government doesn't take enough of my money already. So, I therefore play a game which returns about 50% of the money wagered and fattens the wallets of overpaid government workers already earning at least 75K+ per year. I'm right there with fja response,For me, it is all about beating the odds. Getting that straight! (1 in a 1000 in the P3) and getting it several times a month while doing it with very few daily plays. Seeing if there is a way to really come out ahead in this game. Trying to be one of those to figure it all out. I love showing people there is more to it than they think. That's what I really enjoy the most, and of course, the money isn't bad either. I play to get out of debt!I don't consider it gambling..as I am supporting education..with a freewill tax so to speak! in exchange I get a chance to win money..without making the freewill support to education, I don't get a chance..So far been playing on/off moslty off and a little on the negative side..

I'm on disability and been thru life's downtimes. I play cos I feel millions of dollars is the only way I can be happiest .. maybe not exactly happy, but happiest .I sorta think it's all a semi-scam also. If the monies fund the school systems, then a few years ago, why was there a school/schools holding class in bathrooms, cos the classroom walls were deteriorating with harmful materials? I use some of the funds that I previously gave to charities since the lottery is a device to fund the school system. In that way, I'm not diverting any money that I can't afford to lose or that was intended for another purpose. I try to win about half of the money that I pay in while I wait for the big prize.

If you can maybe also try to play pick 3 and 4 online and don't be afraid of computerized draws, they are just as good or even much better than ping pong balls draws. (I think much better).Look for the states that have them and play those more than the others.

it's always nice to see people who play for fun. there is no shame in that. it's when you go overboard and spend into the hundreds or thousands each visit to the store that there is a problem (sadly, i've seen it happen, both hundreds and thousands.) me and my old co-corker one time did the math on how much this one customer spends on tickets a year. let's just say it's over the poverty line.

I play the 3 numbers mostly for fun , to see if I can get it which isnt happenig too much right now but it's still fun trying to get it. The bigger lotteries ( Lotto South and Megamillions here) I only buy a 1 dollar ticket because of the odds. If I'm next in line to win , I figure I will with a 1 dollar bet just like a 50 dollar bet. I play the lotteries for entertainment. It's an easy way to gamble. The rules are simple and easy to understand. I don't have to be rich to play in a $200M+ game and I can play locally, no need to travel. I can spend a dollar and dream of winning millions, which has happen to some lucky players. i play the lottery for several reasons. i like to play the scratch-offs because they are fun and they waste time that i would just be spending sitting around, being bored. my philosiphy on online games is this: your number will come up sooner or later. it's either going to be death, or the lottery. either way i'm going to a better place.

And I always was told that if you dont have a ticket you can't win.I never hope that I will win, Like some people buy a ticket and just hold it all day wishing and hoping that ticket is a winner. I started playing the lottery on the second day after it started in my state. Because the very first day my tag number hit 408 straight and i didn't play it. After that i wrote down a bunch of favortie numbers and played them from time to time. Almost all have came out since then some even more than once. It's a great feeling to win and even better to have a fist full of cash back after periods of drought.
