Project BB Ver. 7.0 - Fatal Error
While building the scaled-down version of this file I found that it never should have taken up as much computer resources as it did - either disc space or RAM. Somewhere in the file there was something - an error of some type - causing it to occupy much more of these resources than it should have - or was necessary....

Work - Uploads
Massive upload yesterday - with corrections, about 100 files totalling over 400Mb uploaded to the client site. Error traps worked.
Found a way to format .pdf files in the manner I had originally envisioned. Existing files will be redone, new files will use the modified template. It's a workaround, but it works....

Work - Second Phase Mods
Mods to the second phase spreadsheet were completed yesterday - far more easily and quickly than I would have ever imagined. Short test indicates they work as intended. I did the mods in two stages; the second reduced the spreadsheet size by about 4% - and, still, the spreadsheet runs about 220Mb in size. Data entry goes smoothly, though. Error traps work. The database is ready to build....

Daytona Beach FL
Leaving later today for Daytona Beach FL - playing in a pinochle tournament, visiting friends. Be away for ten days. Will be a busy traveling schedule for me through November.
Reconstruction of the lost spreadsheet goes smoothly - better and faster than I originally had thought possible. I'll take the laptop with me (of course) and work on it while...

"Arctic Sea Ice Underestimated for Weeks Due to Faulty Sensor
One article I posted said some data stations in cold areas are located either on the roof of the weather station (heat from the inside drifts up from the heating flu), other data stations located in towns where steam heat was in open pipes close to sidewalks (Siberian city if memory is correct).
Now faulty sensor. Follow money trail per usual.

Back Home
Back from Tampa. Finished 3rd of 10 in the tournament. Nice, considering we were in 6th place starting the final round, and I was playing with someone with whom I had never paired with previously.
Coded viewing files and quality assurance files with the project before I left. QA files worked great. Viewing files didn't. It turned out there was...

Yet another test... this is PDF related.
I'm forced to redo my original Combinatorial Mathematica due to A-HOLE-L FTP changes and a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error in MathPlayer by Design Science.
The following link is just a test... repeat, the following link is just a test.

Home Again
Home from Detroit. We finished 5th out of 36 pair - good, but one place out of the money. Good, because we got nearly the maximum out of what we were dealt. Nothing spectacular, just good, steady play.
Worked on Phase III .pdf files while away. One complete, ready for the word processor, the other ready to go. Found errata in the original fil...

Recovery
Phase II wasn't supposed to happen. Phase III (originally Phase II) came from an entirely different set of data. The current Phase II was designed as an error check on Phase I but developed into a phase of its own. It has now provided a backup for Phase I. Through a lot of creativity, inventiveness, ingenuity and brute force I think recovery is complete. There was a lot of work involved - I haven't left home except to pick up mail&n...
