Understanding the problem by observation.
While the Markov Chain approach seems much like follower data, the approach is different because it is capturing the observed frequencies and normalizing the distribution percentages. This allows capturing a single pick, which can be done in a moving window, allowing for back testing the entire history of each column of each game. From this concept, pick data can be collected and compared to actual results, and an error function can be developed by comparing the pick to the next dra...

Python development complete! Time to move the data to Excel.
Though it is still running 37 minutes after I started it, in less than 20 additional lines of code I was able to get back test data. It runs the follower code for the first 1,000 draws, adds the next draw and repeats the process. Using the mid day PA pick 3 data for the test run, so the eve file will take twice as long... but when run will provide a list of picks to compare to draw results. Now I will be able to see results. The spreadsheet design part of this is base...

If machine learning were easy, everyone would be using it...
This project is a great deal more difficult than I imagined it would be... which is a good thing I suppose. The first run of the program took 5 minutes, but I mis-configured something and it only printed out a percentage, and not an actual set of picks. That is what I am working on now. To contrast, my follower code ran in seconds. Everything is highly commented as I learn what each line does, as the starter code was Frankensteined from several tutori...

Bank Error
First Citizens Bank in Hull, Georgia, has several account holders with the same name. But instead of double checking account numbers, they deposited one man s $31,000 into the account of an 18-year-old with the same name. The teenager must have felt like he won the lottery, because that s how he acted. He withdrew $20,000 in cash and spent $5,000 with his bank card. It was March 17, ten days after the deposit, before the original depositor complained to the bank. Only then di...

Sound-Byte Morons
Anyone else burned out on listening to or reading the gibberish from those I call the Sound-Byte-Morons? You know, the people who don't really follow politics or current events or the news in any meaningful way but always want to voice their opinions and theories based solely on sound-bytes and raw emotion? You really have to wonder if there's some kind of reverse evolution going on when you hear or read what they have to say. I just find it hard to countena...
