OK, now that all the network nightmares are over and things are at least moving along; time to say that we have picked up a copy of Microsoft Expression Studio 3. Woo-Hoo!!! That combined with our Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2008 copies (mine and my son's) makes for some pretty interesting programming options. Now, let's see what these puppies can do... grr... oo..owe, they have teeth... niiice....

Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Officially Released!
The official release day of Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is here, and as predicted, it took place this month (March).
The timing actually coincides with the big annual Microsoft developer's conference called MIX 09.
I have been using IE8 for many months now, so I have had an opportunity to watch the product evolve and continue getting better. I highly recommend that any user of Windows XP or Windows Vista install it without reservation.

With that in mind, I read an article today about picking the the type of CPU (Central Processing Unit, or microprocessor) in your new PC to be sure it is future-proof. (Some people refer to the CPU as the computer's brain...

IE10 finally released for Windows 7
Four months after delivering Windows 8 that includes IE10 (Internet Explorer 10), Microsoft has finally released IE10 for Windows 7.
I really, really like IE10. It's very fast and has just about all the latest web standards and bells whistles.
If you are running Windows 7, I strongly recommend that you upgrade to IE10 right away.
If you previously installed the preview version of IE10, the process will smoothly upgrade you to the final release&nb...

Lotto Journal - Entry # 2 - Lotto Pools, Lotto BS.
With the big stinks raised recently surrounding Mr. Lopes and Ms. Wilson, seems like playing in a lottery pool has become all the more unattractive. I'd highly recommend against playing the lottery in a group , but if you must, definitely get a set of specific rules together that everyone will agree on and get ever...

IE9 to be released Monday March 14
Internet Explorer version 9 (IE9) will be offically released by Microsoft on Monday, March 14. Downloads will be available starting at 12 noon Eastern Time (9:00 p.m. Pacific Time) Monday.
I've been using and testing IE9 for the past year, as Microsoft has been releasing beta copies of IE9 during its development. I have been extremely impressed with the results, and I can happily say that IE9 is a really nice browser, worthy of becoming your primary browser....

Still running Windows 8? Time to upgrade, or else
I see from the Lottery Post web stats that many people are still running Windows 8 on their computers. If you're one of these people, you really need to do the free upgrade to Windows 10.
Here is the link to an article that came out today describing WHY it is so important to upgrade: http://www.zdnet.com/article/still-running-windows-8-time-to-upgrade-or-else/...
