I Pledge Allegiance
In light of the recent appeals court ruling in California, with respect to the Pledge of Allegiance, the following recollection from Senator John McCain is very appropriate: The Pledge of Allegiance - by Senator John McCain As you may know, I spent f ive and one half years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a cell. In 1971 the NVA moved us from these con...

Richard Dawkins, Existence of God Pt. II
I present you with the following story. A man is praying at his bedside, while an angel appears. The angel says that he will lead the man to a place in upstate New York, by a hill, where the man will find under ground, a book, and that there are 2 stone wheels next to the book which the decoding information is embbeded, will enable...

Chaos
After all the reading I have done one thing, and only one thing, has stood out. I know I am getting this wrong but who cares? Certainly not me. Don't confuse me with facts; my mind is made up. On the sub-sub-atomic level, chaos reins supreme. Physicists today have no clue is what is going on. All is random, confusing, and unknown. If that is the case, then how does matter go from being pure chaos to what we see around us...

Hillary Clinton reveals her plans for Bill should she win in 2008
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 21) - Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday that if she is elected president, she would make her husband a roaming ambassador to the world, using his skills to repair the nation's tattered image abroad. I can't think of a better cheerleader for America than Bill Clinton , can you? the Democratic senator from New York asked a crowd jammed in...

How one reporter gave Clinton heartburn over Chinagate
Rather long but well detailed article which shows Clinton goes ballistic when confronted with facts about something he's made every effort to conceal. Clinton echoes the same mantra as terrorists, blaming everyone, everything other than himself for being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Archived timeline of China-gate here...

Interesting night
The past week or so the prowler thing's creeped back in to things here. He evidently came onto the porch several nights ago and left a few signs to show he'd been here. There's been a break in it for several months, so I suppose we all hoped it was over. The last incident was just before Easter, when someone left a beheaded rabbit on the porch of the rich guy up the hill behind me. Prior to that, the bucket of blood spilled across my porch, maybe around Christmas was t...

Moonset, housewears, wooly mammoths
Morning to you. I think I've got my realities all sorted out from dream-stupidity an hour and a half later. Enough, at least, to mind-wander through a blog entry, but not enough to begin anew working on the Unified Random-Numbers-Behavior-Theory. Sorted out sufficiently for mundanities, but not enough for labor-thought. For instance, this old abobe I live in is threatening to become a Communist. I've lived here a couple of years now, and most of it was dur...
