Last day of the first week test
There is one draw remaining for the first week of testing the new system/concept.
There had been no wins so far. The selection process was not very complex, it was to stick as close to the middle of the middle as possible.
When working on the next attempt, I will begin to employ the different statistics, starting with the median, to help select from the neutral numbers in each column. One step at a time.
A formalized selection process will help with consistency....

First of the draws (mid and eve) pass without matching
The first crack at the new system. Was not expecting much of anything yet. There are 6 mid draws left and 6 eve draws left... I am interested most in draws 2, 4 and 7... where the neutrals usually show up together.
The cash4life script is working and now just awaiting funding... just like the pick 5 attempt... and the mega millions attempt... patience is key, it is still trying to pick one combo of a little over 300 combos... will take some time to cement an actual play al...

The coding for today
1. Start out by working up the final production code for the pick-n script.
2. Update the draw history files
3. Run the script and use a from the middle approach at a phase 2 pick. (One for mid day PA Pick 3, one for evening PA Pick 3
If I get this done in time, I will go play each resulting combo for a week @ $1 straight and $0.50 boxed... if not, I will update today's results after the evening draw and play tomorrow.
4. Create a...

The fun part... operation names for each phase.
I like to use cheesy military style operation names for each phase, knowing full well that they will not be successful...
Phase one... Operation Kickstart
This is for the PA pick 3, the goal is to hit both the pick 3 eve and pick 3 mid in a predetermined time frame.
Failure is not hitting anything over 1 month of play.
Success is hitting day and eve pick 3s within the same month (never had that happen before)
Dream o...

The quick version of the testing resuts
Both day and evening PA pick 3 draw histories comprise of a little over 25% of the draws being classified as NNN, but the appearance of an NNN happens in over 80% of all 7 draw groups.
Day and evening PA pick 5 draws that are made up of NNNNN happen overall slightly less than 20% of all draws, but still appear in over 50% of all 7 draw groups.
There is something here, just have to determine exactly how to take the next step......

Maybe instead of looking at the "most" or "least", the answers could be closer to the middle...
Studying where the numbers in the neutral zone are sitting with respect to their 10% expectancy may offer more answers than studying the extremes. It might take a re-framing of long held beliefs in higher frequency being the better bet (one of the pillars of the Gail Howard systems). It is true that the drawn numbers don't know if they are hot or overdue, but what if some larger truths are governing how the number frequencies fill in around the central tendency of the expectancy....

First impressions of the new Hot/Cold Python script...
As I cleaned up the output to give the needed info in a readable format, I had noticed a few things...
1. Using a percentage of total draws means the digit post script (H1, H2 etc...) is not needed, as the numbers that meet either hot or cold threshold can change. For instance in one column of the evening pick 3, when running with 35 draws for X, there was a column with 0 hots and only one cold. That means the numbers tended to fall within a tight tolerance of their 10% expecta...
