I use to invest in the stock market from time to time in my early years of life. I had in my possession 500 shares of a Canadian mining stock for a number of years. One day in the mid 80s I got a letter where the Company I invested in was purchased by another mining company and was informed to turn in my 500 shares for 50 shares of the purchasing company.
