Answer Me This...
I realize that from a Florida Fantasy5 players perspective going to two draws per day flat out stinks, and that me posting all of the hidden benefits for the Florida Lottery doesn't make it any better for players.
However there is one more thing I'd like to say and then I'll stop my long winded rants. I think in 2020 (not sure if that's the correct year or not, but if it's not 2020 then it's close to 2020) The New York Lottery implemented two drawings per day for their Pick5 game, Take5. Tak

Sure. It's definitely possible that The Florida Lottery changed the percentage of net sales allocated to the winners prize pool. (50%) They could have even changed the percentage of the winners prize pool allocated to the top prize. (62%) But that's not what they did or what happened at all. From reading Fantasy5's Official Rules I didn't see any percentages that changed when the midday drawing was added.
It's also true that net sales for FF5 could be down in general these days due to player

Multi state games
The Florida Lotto odds is for one ticket. If you buy three of them, assuming the numbers are different, your odds of winning $3.2 million go up to about 1 in 7 million.

Fantasy 5 payouts are garbage now!
Good point about Florida having more people to split the winning money. Makes sense that the prize money went down with it being distributed amongst so many people. I guess the money pool would be better in a place like say Wyoming where there is a much smaller population. :)

Rising Gas Prices and the Lottery
I couldn't agree more with that statement if I had to.
I just happen to be in the middle of taking a break from playing the games I usually play but it's not because I'm keeping an eye on myself. It's because of that Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle. Tickets went on sale on March 1st and cost 20 bucks a pop and the final drawing to win a million dollars isn't until July 2nd.
I've been averaging buying one ticket per month. (That's not true, I bought 2 tickets in May because 40 bucks c

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
MY apologies if you've already seen this.
https://floridalottery.com/promotions/raffle
The Florida Lottery website is publishing the number of tickets sold. As of 4/10/2026 148,980 tickets have been sold . Scroll down a bit and you'll see it.
Also I've read the official rules. Apparently there is no claiming anonymously. See below.
By entering the MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE, a player gives his/her permission for the Florida Lottery to photograph and/or videotape and record the winner w

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
This just in to The Interesting to Note But Nobody Cares Department -
This time around The Florida Lottery did in fact revamp this edition of The Millionaire Raffle. I think they probably copied some ideas that were instituted by The Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle. I'm a transplant from the Northeast to Florida, and I used to live less than an hour's drive of Pennsylvania. PA has offered their version of a Millionaire Raffle every Fall for many years. I made the trip over to PA each Fall qu

Who are you going to tell after you win the monday's powerball jackpot.
Jade,
I wish I could remember where I read that it's possible for an LLC to release a big lottery winners name etc, but I can't. And I know next to nothing about state laws as they relate to LLC's in your neck of the woods.
I've also read that The State of Delaware is the place where a big lottery winner can request an LLC because Delaware has laws that say they can never ever release the name of the owner of an LLC. (Or something to that effect anyway)
In Florida it seems that the

Did you click on the wrong post to reply to? The one who disagreed and criticized, and rather rudely, is GiveFive.
He wrote Speculating about me wasting gas when I'm in Florida and you're in Colorado makes you look stupid . and Aren't you glad you were so speculative with your reply? ... Why don't you spend your time a bit more intelligently by gaining a good understanding (like I have with Florida) of what your legal options are in Colorado instead of making yourself look bad ?
