Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I stopped playing the Mega Millions after the price of tickets increased to $5.
I play the Powerball every drawing, because I predict that Powerball will eventually raise the price of tickets to $5 to compete with Mega Millions.
Lets face it, you know Mega Millions is now increasing their revenue with the jackpot at $800 million, because most people will buy at least one ticket even if the price is at $5.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot increased by $16 million to $166 million. This is the first time in this run the jackpot increased more than the minimum. This means the jackpot is fully funded from sales and the jackpot increases should continue to be fairly large. But the jackpot increases will probably not be VERY large until the Powerball jackpot is won. The Powerball jackpot is currently almost three times larger at $449 million.
The Mega Millions jackpot reached $166 million after 11 rolls. I

Mega Millions constant $10 million increases
I was curious about this today so posed a question on Google.
The site I was led to (but can't find again) said that Mega Millions promised no steady increases of any set amount but yet it seems lately that $10 millioin is a given.
False advertising?

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Twenty years. Same numbers. Winning next to nothing.
I am astounded that you played the same numbers for twenty years. I am impressed by your persistence and patience. I am actually curious. Did you play the same numbers for Powerball, Mega Millions, and the other lotteries in your state? I would think that those numbers would eventually at least come close to win a smaller prize in one of those games over that length of time.
I used to get excited when jackpots where high. No

they've got it wrong. greed has made them blind to the fact that this kind of games would need widest participation.
1-return money back to the public by cutting down the 60% tax to 40%
2-I agree to bring back a dollar and a dream (increase the second tier prize to $2 million from the 60% tax reduction).

The Mega Millions jackpot is growing faster because sales for the game are higher than Powerball sales.

Yep, says it right there: Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
One of the choices: No - None
Nearly 57% of players are not playing Mega Millions.
Great to see many not buying in to it.
Hopefully, you're like us and choosing a less expensive alternative like Lotto America or Powerball.
We've been saving hundreds; possibly thousands, by not playing Mega Millions.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
20 million is the standard rollover increase I expect from a MUSL game. Mega millions is at a healthy rollover amount.
