Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I am beginning to wonder if I should stop buying and just wait and keep saving for the Big One and hope that the no win streak ends there. Or is someone going to sneak in and grab the jackpot before it becomes truly humongous when I would go all in for it?
If you knew how big it would get before somebody else won the best strategy would be to wait and spend it all on the drawing before that one. Of course you can't know when it will be hit, but you can know what's probable. The table at htt

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Wanted to update/correct my previous figures, as for some reason I thought there were only three interim prize periods, and there are actually four. Bottom line, 640,900 tickets need to be sold to fund all prizes to be awarded in the Raffle (interim prizes and Grand Prizes.) The duration of the raffle is 122 days, so sales need to average 5,245 tix a day. Based on the Lottery's figure of 169,906 tix sold as of 4/17 , sales are averaging 3,540 tix/day so far. Hard to say if sales will pick up or

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
OK, so for each of the three interim drawings, $704,500 in prizes are awarded. That makes a grand total of $ 2,113,500 in prizes for all three interim periods.
The grand prize drawing will award a minimum of (10) $1,000,000 prizes, for a total of $10,000,000 in prizes in the Grand Prize drawing.
So all told a total of $12,113,500 in prize money to be awarded.
Now divide $12,113,500 by 20, and you have the number of tickets that need to be sold to fund the prizes. So 605,675 twenty

Is there any method or system that can an predict the first digit that will fall in Pick 3
The following from page 9 of the document spells out how they select which ball sets are used for which live drawing:
The back-up public witness will then be asked to make the random ball set selections. Seventeen (17) sets of ten (10) balls, each numbered 0-9, will be contained in cases labeled A1 through A17 (or the current ball set security codes in service). The back-up witness, by means of a random drawing utilizing the envelope containing seventeen cards designated A1 through A17 (or t

calculate the frequencia reference
It also serves as a proof that at its current stage, as far as lotteries are concerned, AI can provide some ideas for further exploration...
What is there to explore? If chatgpt et al had any real intelligence, it would tell you that every combination has the same probability of winning (it will if you ask it an honest question about the lottery, but it's obvious that dr san is asking it loaded questions, and AI is not smart enough to be able to tell it's being trolled). It would tell you t

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?

Sounds to me like the author doesn't know much about how lotteries work or appreciate that the results of just 3 or 4 jackpot runs may not be representative. The headline screams that he's missing the clue that even if PB sales were up (they're not) due to MM's price increase it's still probability that results in billion jackpots.
The average PB jackpot should have a cash value of about $195 million

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I am pretty confident that their estimation is too low.
In the estimate file (published before Tuesday drawing), that were forecasting $94M sales for this coming Friday. But they sold $98M on Tuesday (that is +38% v. the prior Tuesday).
So on Wednesday they will sell at least $113M (that is +45% v. the prior Friday - those percentages are now finally growing exponentially, given the jackpot levels).
That means roughly +$18M in additional advertised jackpot (computed as +$28M of sale

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Lets face it, you know Mega Millions is now increasing their revenue with the jackpot at $800 million,
For the same advertised jackpot MM's revenue per drawing at $5 per ticket dropped below the revenue per drawing at $2 per ticket a few drawings back. Revenue for Saturday's $800 million jackpot was a hair under 70% of the revenue for the last $800 million jackpot in August '24.
Total revenue since the price increase is about 1% more than for the same time period in 2024, while revenue

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot reached $166 million after 11 rolls. In the previous Mega Millions run, the jackpot reached $189 million after 11 rolls.
This time around the cash value for drawing #12 is $75.2 million while PB is advertising a $482 million annuity. Last time around the cash value for drawing #12 was $82.7 million, which is only 10% more, and a much smaller difference than the annuity inflated by a higher interest rates suggests.
Still a long ways off from the 11 roll record o

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I don't think it has ever been unusual for the first draw or two to be underfunded, but they need to offer some minimum amount or even the addicts might stop playing. MM is gambling that $50 million is the minimum advertised jackpot that will get enough people playing, while posing a minimum risk of paying a jackpot before it's fully funded. The most recent example I see is when MM was hit on the first drawing a couple of years ago. Total sales of $19,255,000 only funded $13,759,894 of the start
