Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I haven't bought a mega millions since they increased it to $5. To be honest Powerball is a better deal at $2.

One of our Mega Millions pool tickets has a 4 times multiplier.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
It kind of feels like beating a dead horse but I'm not surprised that the jackpot for Mega Millions isn't growing as quickly, even after the Powerball jackpot was won.
I asked the guy at my local 7-11 when I dropped by to get my tickets for Saturday's drawings if anyone was buying Mega Millions tickets and he basically said sales for Mega Millions tickets have died since the price hike.
Anyway, for those who have tickets for tonight, I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. I'm in fo

Mega Millions and Powerball
If people would actively boycott Mega Millions it would go back to $2 per play. *shrug*

Mega Millions and Powerball
I could see a new national lottery launching in the $1-$2 per ticket range. People will want something for Tuesday's and Friday's to replace Mega Millions.
I don't see the price of tickets for Mega Millions dropping. There are enough people out there who will keep buying tickets out of habit so it will limp along with the occasional hyped up jackpot run.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot has surged by $34 million to $336 million after 19 consecutive rolls marking the largest increase since the launch of the revised Mega Millions format.
This rise breaks the previous record increase of $25 million and matches the record for the most consecutive rolls (19) in the current version of the game. The last time the jackpot rolled 19 times, it reached 348 million, just slightly above the current total.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Good luck on the Mega Millions tickets.
I think our pool will start buying Mega Millions tickets once the Powerball jackpot is won.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
It's kind of funny and ironic how the Mega Millions raised the price of tickets to $5 with hopes of higher jackpots, but the Powerball jackpots are significantly higher.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
There have been a lot of complaints about the Mega Millions jackpot growing very slowly. But this is not just a Mega Millions problem. Sales in general for lotteries is down. The Powerball jackpot is also growing slower than it has in the past. The current Powerball jackpot at $384 million was reached after 25 rolls. The record jackpot for 25 rolls is double the current jackpot at $768 million. Patience is required if you are waiting for the next $1 billion jackpot.
