The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Check the mega millions and the powerball numbers. And you tell me? Games with 290 million in odds. Or is it just me man?

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The projected sales for this draw have increased to $59 million giving odds of 3.9% of the jackpot being won. This is the highest sales to date for this run.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I remember watching the guy from the lottery being interviewed saying how much better the game will be. He said bigger average jackpots. He said the average would be 800 million. And more people would win with improved odds. So far non of that has happened.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Why the 2 draws down about 5 and 10 million about 3 weeks ago?
I think the good question that even the MM people might not have an answer to is why a few drawing had a bigger jump even though the jackpot wasn't very big yet. There's a suggestion that it's a result of the huge PB jackpot, but I only have some unsupported guesses about why the PB jackpot increased MM sales. I think the big drops were simply a correction to unusually high sales.
Lets say the odds for each of the next fours

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Lots of people have different reasons for playing whatever game. I just dropped $5 on tomorrows Tx 2Step. It's up to $1,075,000. Odds are 1 in 1,832,600 to hit the jackpot. Is the jackpot hundreds of millions? Nooo. But after taxes I would clear somewhere around $700K. That suits me til I croak.

Powerball and Mega Millions players are 96% LOSERS
This comment is pretty amazing coming from the person who scored two $50,000 wins in the PB challenge last year. On the other hand I beat those odds Monday night with 5 tickets with #12 PB and power play winning $46 including one of the tickets with 2 WBs + #12.

Born to Kvetch
Of course lottery jackpot odds are outrageous so one, two, three and five dollar tickets are in essence chump change. Between drawings players don't spend three to five dollars on frivolous things?

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
You are missing the point as to why a lot of players resent the $5 ticket price.
The whole point of Mega Millions is the big jackpot and maybe the hope of second prize. It's really stupid to increase the ticket price so the lower prizes can be increased.
Third prize is 10k and multiplied up to 100k
The odds of getting anything above 30 k are really ridiculous.
If I want to go for 100k I don't need Mega Millions to do that!
I could buy a Fantasy 5 ticket for 1$ and get mu

same Ga. Cash 3 number hitting straight 3 days in a row all midday?
Like I said, humans are good at spotting patterns.
If you ask AI what are the odds of this for every interesting pattern you see, you'll always get these seemingly outrageous results.
If you ask AI what are the odds of this for a series of drawings where you can't spot any pattern at all, you will also get a very large 1 in N result.
All drawing series (9 digits, 12 digits, something like that) will have very low chances of showing up. That's because there are billions and billions o
