Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Not a bad idea. You prolly have a better chance winning decent money on the scratchers. Overall odds are generally 1 in 4 ish.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Seems odd to me. Odds where dropped a smige. Ticket price has almost tripled. Less people are playing. And lower jackpots are being won. ......

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #1
I love Lottery Post because it has taught me so much numerically. I have met people off of here in person. I've found family connections that I was unaware of. Tiger13 and Long Odds have been amazing teachers to me. Todd is quick in replying. Lastly I've been able to share my knowledge as well and I've been able to help others so that's rewarding in itself.

Knowing the Unknowable Future Number
Once more time. The lottery is a game of pure chance, and the numbers are drawn randomly. Any patterns or sequences that appear in past results are purely coincidental and have no bearing on future draws. Here's why: Randomness : Lottery draws are designed to be statistically independent events. Each number has an equal probability of being drawn, regardless of previous outcomes. For example, in a fair 6/49 lottery, every number has a 1 in 49 chance of appearing in any given draw, and pa

DC 5 Lottery needs to be audited immediately. The same thing that happened to Tennessee in 2007
Yeah, something is askew. Tonight's DC5 draw makes 40 repeats of the A B C D E - Singles. Below is a % Probability and Odds table for an event that has an average rate of reoccurrence of (100,000 / 30,240) 3.31 draws. As the repeats keep happening, the probability diminish and the odds grow exponentially. Tomorrow's midday draw would make a singles repeat the 41 st consecutive and the odds of the happening are 1 in 242,413.45. We're not saying it's impossible, just very impro

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Tell that to the Millions that lost $5 as opposed to the 6 jackpots that have been won since the 150% price increase beginning on 4-08-2025. https://www.texaslottery.com/export/sites/lottery/Games/Mega_Millions/Estimated_Jackpot.html As Rcbbuckeye has in his signature, JUST LOOK AT THE ODDS OF ANY JACKPOT GAME, THAT WILL TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW If the new price tag is such a great deal why is it taking 40 draws to reach $980 Million ? If the new price tag is such a

Help Me Understand This 😭
From 2/22 when the new MFL game launched, Both the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots have been won twice - each. We have also had numerous 2nd prize winners for both of the above games. We are yet to have a jackpot or even a 2nd prize winner with MFL. On 4/22 it will be two months since the game launched. Does it mean we have fewer people playing MFL in the 31 states where it's available? The odds of winning are way lower than for both PB and MM, but yet they keep on producing

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Hmm, the Jackpot has been won 6 times since the $5.00 change. Yet, the x10 on 5 + 0 has only been won 1 time. Let's see, the Jackpot odds are 1 in 290,472,336.0 And, the x10 on 5 + 0 odds are 1 in 404,135,424.0 Yep, seems our calculations are holding up in the real world examples. Good Luck

Powerball
I'd be plenty PO'd at myself too. For just one lousy dollar bill more, I could have had two million. I don't wanna be that guy. Then there's this too - When I play PB, I play three identical lines of five numbers. Each line on my ticket will have a different PB (Red Ball) number. The pay out would be six million minus the taxes if I hit only all five white ball numbers. If I happened to have matched the PB too, I'd win the jackpot with the other two lines kicking in an additional 4 million.
