Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Where are they putting the additional unexpected $2M in sales? They're putting it in the same places as every other $5 in sales. They skim half off the top and the rest goes into the prize pools. The ads are only for estimated jackpots, and higher sales increase it. They're not going to change the advertised amount unless sales are substantially higher than expected, and if you got those numbers from the site that shall not be named (which you must have, because the Texas worksheet doesn't

my idea for a multi-state lottery
1) Choose 6 numbers from 1 to 68. 2) Tickets cost $1. 3) Match all 6 to win the jackpot, which starts at $25 million. 4) 10 cents of each ticket gets added to the jackpot. 5) Match 5 of 6 to win the 2nd prize of $100,000. 6) Buy 5, get one free. For $5, you get 6 lines, which is either 6 QP or your playslip of 5 sets of 6 numbers plus one QP. 7) Both prizes are all cash (subject to taxes, of course, we can't get around that). No annuity BS. If you win $25 million and want

I am beginning to wonder if I should stop buying and just wait and keep saving for the Big One and hope that the no win streak ends there. Pareto Chart: Identifying Critical Problems The Pareto Chart, based on the 80/20 Principle, helps identify and prioritize the few vital causes that are responsible for most of the effects. Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
The cash value is only running at 10% of what it would be when it was at $2.00 a line. 90% of all other cash jackpots were much higher by this time in the jackpot run. This may be reflective of this poll where nearly 60% are not playing. Here's some data since the $5.00 a line change. Peculiar, the change in annuity and cash don't follow each other for many drawings at the beginning of the jackpot run. Mega Millions Jackpot Values at $5.00 a Line Index Date Amo
