What???!!! Are you serious? And suggesting cutting someone with a blade. You are sick. One of the most ridiculous posts I have seen on LP. A real con artist. There is a huge difference between borrowing money for a home or car or business vs bumming money because you are a grifter or deadbeat with a habit. Borrowing or bumming a $1 for gambling has zero connection to building trust. I have never bummed money for gambling and I am in the vast majority.

I heard this for 2026 Starting January 1, 2026, the federal jackpot tax reporting threshold increases from $1,200 to $2,000 I assume this applies since the huff n puff I have played in casinos is a video slot machine. I know the dictionary definition of gambling but I don't see buying a lottery ticket as a risk, more like entertainment and a wish to win. Buying in st a casino or race track or sports book for a few yards is taking a risk.

Tucker Black, Since you say you work in a casino I'll take a real wild guess that you are far removed from the action. You have a problem realizing that someone who plays $3000 and wins $2000 Is STUCK $1000. No matter what flaky definition or explanation you try to come up with they are STUCK $1000. Stick to accounting or whatever you do because you have not got a clue about gambling results. STUCK means amount lost, also known as 'in the hole'.

There are no guarantees in gambling. No you are not going to have a one in 58 million chance, you are going to have reduced the possible combinations by five that's all. Yeah, right, you have a strategy for overcoming over 300M to 1 odds by playing five tickets or even assuring a 10X win of $10M. Run Forrest run! I mentioned the winner bring glad they sprang for the $5 becuase of all the animosity of players toward $5 tickets.
