I'm done playing the lottery
If someone can convince me why I should continue playing their stupid games, I'll reconsider.
I hear that for an extra $1 you could win $2 million.
I don't see how a vending machine problem is the retailers responsibility.
A vending machine is a way for a store o sell tickets and collect the commission without paying an employee. Why shouldn't equipment the store uses to take your money be the store's responsibility?
You didn't call me stupid...you implied that lotterology...th

I'm done playing the lottery
I rarely play draw games. The house edge is ridiculous and the odds of winning are absurd. Usually I play the scratch-off games, and I am particular about which ones. When a certain game is only available at that stupid vending machine that has made its way on my ban list, I'm left with nothing to play.
Yesterday, before I started this thread, I went to the convenience store down the street and tried to buy the $3 ka-pow bingo. They had none.
This idiotic state lottery makes way too many

I'm done playing the lottery
I don't see how a vending machine problem is the retailers responsibility. If there is a mechanical or electrical issue with it which there obviously is, how is the retailer supposed to fix it?
I would go on their contact us page https://www.coloradolottery.com/en/about/contact-us/ and send them an email explaining the issue or call again and ask to speak to someone other than a customer service rep who is just going to blow you off with an It's the retailers responsibility excuse. Also whe

I'm done playing the lottery
I have a Safeway that's a 5 minute walk from where I live. You can use the vending machine or play slips. But that's in Md.
There isn't always someone at the customer service counter, so I just go to the liquor store 3 doors down in the shopping center with my play slips. If I don't want to go there, there's 4 more retailers within a mile or two that do play slips.

I'm done playing the lottery
Tucker Black. I usually play at a grocery store called Schnucks, ST Louis chain, I'm in Illinois. Their lottery vending machine is one of the most unreliable things in town. It has accepted paper money, but often not $5 bills, then when it has accepted the money 'ate' the payslips. I'm not kidding. Or accepted the money but did not give out any tickets. Usually it's ok with scratchers but draw games are a totally different story. Fortunately this store accepts draw game tickets at customer servi

three zones of a lottery
all you need to play the lottery is some money plus basic working knowledge of how to use a vending machine or interact with a human cashier. when someone wins the lottery, the winner's story is always something like they either play the same numbers all the time or they just randomly stopped to get some quick picks.
you never hear a winner's story about how they applied 5th dimensional trigonometric probability to lottery number patterns and spent years developing a science of lotterology.

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
I would rather be a vending machine victim than a loser who hates the elderly and disabled (which I am neither).
Lotterologist has some haters on this board but he manages to say nice things every now and then.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Vending machine or counter tickets??
I know the vending machine at a nearby supermarket can be opened by store personnel, and I'd imagine that almost all vending machines can be opened by the store they're in. I'd expect the store loads the tickets from the same batch used to load counter displays. In that case I can't imagine how there could possibly be a difference.
In NY there are vending machines (and lots of NY tourism stuff) at Thruway rest areas, and it's possible that those are loaded by lottery personnel. For those who

Never did this before
No, actually I do work on the casino floor. When one of my players hits a jackpot for $2,000, I'm not going to look them up in player tracking to see that they lost $3,000 today, prior to that one spin, and then go over there and say oh hi Krystal I see you've LOST $1,000 today!
Get a grip. When someone wins $2,000 on a slot machine, that one spin is a winner. I do get sore winners who whine that they've lost $3,000 in order to win $2,000 just now. That's their problem.
Tables does the
