Are u guys sure. This is from AI--------- The Virginia Lottery Pick 5 game uses a computer-generated system to determine winning numbers, not a traditional ball draw . The game features two daily drawings at 1:59 PM and 11 PM where a computer system selects the winning numbers from 0-9. The optional Fireball add-on is also determined through this digital process. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ]
Game Type: Computer-generated numbers.

I live in California, an RNG state. I moved there in 2017 and have not played the California Lottery once. If they ever switch to using a mechanical ball machine, then I will start playing.
Whenever I visit my family in Virginia, I usually play the lottery at least once because that lottery still uses balls.

Would a pick 6 be viable?
I thought Kicker was tied to one of the other Ohio games--wasn't sure which.
Michigan and Virginia had Kicker games at one point as well, but both discontinued long ago. Virginia's, I remember, ended in the late 1990s.
When I was first starting to follow the lottery, I wondered why states even had both a 3-ball and a 4-ball numbers game. Why not just a Pick-4 with the option of playing the front 3 or back 3? Or why not a Pick 6 with options for Pick 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6?

At the Virginia Lottery, we take gaming seriously, making sure that each and every draw takes place under rigid security procedures. After all, every game should abide by certain rules and standards.
Two hours before each draw, three Lottery officials report to the television studio where the draw show is held and go over a thorough checklist that includes:
Randomly selecting the ball sets and the draw machines to be used that evening. Testing the equipment, conducting pretest drawings a

it took one million runs to converge to to 63.2041%. So it converges a bit more slowly than I anticipated.
On one hand 1 million iterations is a lot, but OTOH it's still only one run at it and probability means it might not be all that close to what you expect. If you do it again perhaps it will be closer. Or off in the other direction, making the two runs average put closer. FWIW, more precisely the probability is 63.21206%, so a tiny bit more than the 2 decimal place rounding. It's also w

Cash4life is coming to an end in two days. Truly the end of an era.
It's primarily because they perceive an increased ticket price as bringing in more money. There is a certain percentage of the population that plays the lottery compulsively and if they offer a variety of $5 minimum price tickets, then the overall revenue increases. At least that's what it looks like on paper.
There's an interesting short clip featuring the new head of MegaMillions making an announcement in his capacity of the head of the Virginia Lottery:

* Anytime there are as many tries as there are possible outcomes than chance of a hit are 63.21%. Chance of getting a 1 when rolling a die 6 times: 63.21%. Chance of drawing the ace of spades when choosing 1 card from a freshly shuffled deck 52 times: 63.21%. Chance of winning P3 if you play it 1000 individual times: 63.21% .
Interesting! This is an different perspective on the odds. Most texts talk about the number of draws it takes to have a 50/50 chance of hitting. Thanks for this differ
