Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Rollover # 33 has arrived and the Measly Millions is currently standing at $680M/$318.2M CASH for Fridays draw. While I am certain that the recent $30 Million increase in last rollover was more of a sales added booster to garner interest, I do feel confident that we will see rollover #34 this evening. Now....What will be the next rollover amount ? Another $30 Million ?? I am not feeling it. I'm going with the next jackpot at $707M/$330.8M Cash Nothing posted on the TX lottery site for pr

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I hear ya MsBee.... I always thought it was nice having 2 options at the same price to have the jackpots rise at noticable rates. The MM is a big yawn and isn't creating the interest that it used to just 10 months ago. Look at the increase for the run for the last Billion dollar jackpot that happened last December 27,2024: https://www.texaslottery.com/export/sites/lottery/Documents/jackpotestimates/mm20241227.pdf It got to the $619M Annuity on Tuesday and the next draw skyrocketed to $6

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
Yes, prices for most goods and services have gone up due to inflation. Inflation means paying more for the same thing. However, the cost of printing lottery tickets and fixing machines is basically irrelevant, because cost is a very small part of the wager. Lotteries have increased prices or added $1 extra options to try to get more revenue from the players. Unlike inflation, they don't increase prices and give you the same prize. When you bet more, the winners win more. Also, the state coll

I do chuckle at the MM statement they put in their news release on 3/25/25: The game will feature bigger prizes at every non-jackpot prize tier, better odds to win the jackpot, better odds overall, larger starting jackpots, and faster-growing jackpots. Starting at $50 Million didn't seem to energize much needed sales to support that claim. Let's see if the sticker shock of 150% increase wears off after a year or as one poster put it, they have a few runs that go for 30 drawings or more .

Mega Millions jackpot increases
They told us that the jackpot would grow faster with the matrix change. That doesn't seem to be the case. The latest jackpot increase is $14MM. The odds of winning the jackpot better than before. I don't see how we are going to get bigger jackpots. It is clear fewer people are playing.

Every Lottery Player Think About This For A Second...
I see your point...wherever there's lots of money, there's crooks. Crooks are attracted to money like flies are attracted to honey. That's a fundamental truth not written in any school book. If you feel the lottery is playing the least falling numbers, then adjust your system accordingly. Play the least falling numbers and increase your chances to win.

alliens x lotteries
If AIs from much more evolved and super-intelligent planets analyzed lotteries, probability, and mathematics, they wouldn't try to predict numbers. Instead, they would treat the lottery as a purely statistical, economic, and informational system. Here's how they would likely approach the topic: ________________________________________ 1 First conclusion: there is no prediction only risk distribution A super-advanced AI would quickly conclude: Each combination has identical probab

That is an interesting observation. PB shows a lower than usual increase for a billion dollar jackpot, but, All Of A Sudden, MM magically has a $25 M change instead of its regularly scheduled minimum. Anyone with more than one brain cell can entertain or guess the funny-money schemes going on. Let the splain-it-a-way folks chew on that one. We're sure to get a good response. 3... 2... 1...
