Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I am going with the prediction of no rollover for the drawing tonight.
Why?
Because of the one MM ticket that I got for my birthday...! What could possibly go wrong with that other than the multiplier was a 2X that does not count toward the jackpot...?
Kate: Please feel free to get a jump on this one and begin preparing a really nice winners story about a Lottery Post user achieving victory over Mega Millions.
Best wishes and good luck to everyone else for the second place priz

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
I think it would be really stupid for Powerball to do the same thing and make their game terrible as well.
How stupid it is depends on how stupid their target demographic is. So far, for any advertised jackpot at $5 per ticket MM is collecting more revenue than they did at $2 per ticket. If sales remain relatively modest even when it goes up another 200, 500 or 800 million they might lose out in the long run due to a higher percentage of drawings with sales of $20 to $50 million, but in the

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
Yes, prices for most goods and services have gone up due to inflation. Inflation means paying more for the same thing. However, the cost of printing lottery tickets and fixing machines is basically irrelevant, because cost is a very small part of the wager.
Lotteries have increased prices or added $1 extra options to try to get more revenue from the players. Unlike inflation, they don't increase prices and give you the same prize. When you bet more, the winners win more. Also, the state coll

You Can't Lose If You Don't Play
You should be glad you can't play 286 numbers in a twice a day 3 digit drawing. You would be thousands of dollars in the hole.
A good pick 3 player (which is just luck, as there's no skill to this game) plays just a few numbers and turns a consistent profit.
Playing more than 1/4th of the total numbers matrix practically guarantees the outrageous house edge will get you. By playing so many numbers, you've reduced the variance down to the point where it's statistically impossible to be a

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #4
I'm from Michigan, the season is displaying the typical weather we'd expect. The reason I'm mentioning this is because over the past few years, we've been receiving unseasonable weather much more often than the expected weather.
Anyway, if I could only play one lottery forever, it would be (Michigan's) LUCKY FOR LIFE because it's a once a day - daily game for $2. Giving each player an opportunity to win $7,000 a week for life Grand Prize, and Second Place is $25,000 a year for life. This gam

same Ga. Cash 3 number hitting straight 3 days in a row all midday?
Like I said, humans are good at spotting patterns.
If you ask AI what are the odds of this for every interesting pattern you see, you'll always get these seemingly outrageous results.
If you ask AI what are the odds of this for a series of drawings where you can't spot any pattern at all, you will also get a very large 1 in N result.
All drawing series (9 digits, 12 digits, something like that) will have very low chances of showing up. That's because there are billions and billions o

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
The problem is not that the prize itself is too small. The problem is that $165M/290M = 57 cents.
I am not paying five dollars for a prize worth 57 cents (minus taxes) plus lower prizes worth $1.25 with a multiplier gimmick I don't want.
I jumped in the Powerball frenzy on the last drawing because I figured it's now or never (and I was right, it was won). The $2 ticket price was worth 800 million dollars, even considering the chances someone else would win. That's why I bought 100 ticket
