Five dollar MM
People are willing to spend more on scratchers because the odds of winning something are far higher -- about 1 in 4. A $5 ticket that wins $5 can be replayed. A $10 win can be replayed for two more tickets. That initial price can buy you multiple chances to win a lot of money and you only have to be moderately lucky because most of the prize money is at the lower end which is easier to win. Megamillions has a low chance of winning the smallest prize, very low chances of winning more than the

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Wont be much to compare, IMHO. While the PB increases are smaller, they are 3X a week, until it gets into the frenzy zone. The Measly Millions should have already been there by now and the jackpot should at a $1 Billion +. I am still under suspicion that it won't reach the $1B point until Thanksgiving. That $5 per ticket price was absolutely foolish. Bring back the old adage of a Dollar and a dream . Offer a game for $1 have the jackpot odds at 1/305M. Let both of those games have

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
If MUSL didn't like Powerplay, they would get rid of it. They love it because it has a profit margin of 50%. If 12 people win the 2nd place prize with its 1 in 11 million chance of winning, that would imply 140 million tickets sold. At the rate of $1 extra per ticket for Powerplay, that's $140 million in gross revenue. MUSL would much rather bring in $140 million in gross revenue and pay out $12 million extra (plus more on the lower prizes). Most people (including me) don't pay extra

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I think we are basically saying and doing the same thing. You are not playing MM and are playing other games of your choice. You stay within your budget and support your other games using the money you might have otherwise spent MM. Congratulations on that! I am just throwing all MM money towards PB because the odds are relatively close and MM is 150% more costly. I occasionally throw a few dollars at the Rolling Cash 5 5/39 game just for grins and giggles when it hits a 350-400K jac

Games most played
My first choice is Powerball, but only when the jackpot is truly outrageous - 500-750 Mil cash value or more. The way it is moving up now it is just about time to jump in for the big one - only a few more draws to go before it hits my target I think. My second choice is the Rolling Cash 5 5/39 game in Ohio. I do it the same way as Powerball - I save the cost of a ticket each draw in 100K jackpot increments and jump in when the jackpot is 350-400K or more. I just started doing that for this g

Mega Millions constant $10 million increases
Wonder what the odds are for hitting 2 numbers? It'z still the same as B4 .. the mainball'z numba pool didn't change ... Playaz are not feeling dat $3. ticket increase for the removal of just 1 BBN from itz pool.. It'z just not worth playing .. . The sad part is there probably making the same if not more with the new increase. Naah, duzzn't appear so,.. that'z why It'z a mere $10 Millyen increase, az oppozed to THEIR predicted advertizement to US that we'd see bigga Jackpotz... Th

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #3
As far as Pick 4, I prefer choosing my own. Do the research and go from there. ------------------------------------------------------------- When it comes to jackpot draws, I'll go QP because the odds are too overwhelming to win the big one. I used to play my own # but never had more than 4 numbers hits, which never paid much.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
We are also skipping Mega Millions this week. Waiting for the jackpot to get a lot bigger. At least bigger than Powerball. My reasons are very different than MM's reasons, but I'm hoping that we'll see a ridiculously large jackpot in 3 months or so. By that time PB will either have been won or be well beyond the current record. Either way, at $5 per ticket for essentially the same odds I think it's foolish to buy a MM ticket unless it's substantially bigger than PB. Regardless of what PB is
