Lottery Numbers Aren't Meant To Be Random
So...why you think lottery officials pre-test if the numbers suppose to be random to begin with? And I already debated and established that it has nothing to do with making sure the machine working properly. I've given this some thought. They really don't need to run any pre-tests. If the machine has a mechanical malfunction, it won't show up as the thing produces the same set of winning numbers over and over (assuming they load all the balls, not just 5 of them, and then pick 5, that would

Lottery Numbers Aren't Meant To Be Random
So, you admit there's the possibility of seeing patterns and sequences where numbers events repeat themselves because it's generated in a containment of space and time? Sorry but that statement doesn't make any sense. What is a numbers event ? What does a containment of space and time mean? It comes across as gibberish. Just use plain old logic and math. If it can work for 1 ball, it can work for 5 more balls. No. With 1 ball, you know what the result will be. If you have 5 more, f

[UPDATE 2] Thanks to winsumloosesum for tracking down some errors!
Just a word of thanks to winsumloosesum for tracking down some errors and missing results in our results history! This is incredibly generous and helpful to not only Lottery Post, but the entire membership that relies on past history for analysis. The missing results and errors were mainly from the late 1990s and early 2000s, during a period that we relied on a certain company to provide our lottery results. They were incredibly error-prone, and in fact their incompetence was the reason

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
they've got it wrong. greed has made them blind to the fact that this kind of games would need widest participation. 1-return money back to the public by cutting down the 60% tax to 40% 2-I agree to bring back a dollar and a dream (increase the second tier prize to $2 million from the 60% tax reduction). ========================================/ The price increase of Mega Millions tickets from $2 to $5 was decided by the Mega Millions Consortium , which is the governing body of t

You Can't Lose If You Don't Play
You know what your problem is? You've got no imagination. Instead of thinking negative and calling my list useless , you should think POSITIVE and ask yourself how can it be useful? Since you apparently are unable to come up with a reason on your own, I will provide you with some scenarios: Scenario #1 . Let's say that a person using my list chose 192, which also fell from my list last night, because that number has special meaning to them, such as their license plate number, pet

It is very easy to avoid paying taxes on lottery wins. Have a winning ticket? Burn it! I've got an even better idea, and if I win the 860ish million cash I expect at drawing time my federal tax bill would be way less than the $318 million some people would pay. But how many people are really that stupid, that they would turn down a large amount of money just to avoid having to contribute a portion of it, as much as 37%, to the treasury? Is that rhetorical? I know that you know that

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I have been negotiating with Lady Luck about my upcoming Powerball All In adventure for a while now. At first she seemed to be a bit reluctant in helping me win the Big One citing some ethical concerns about others asking her for the same thing and she should not play favorites or have *everybody* win the jackpot. But JustMaybe, you changed that a little bit. She told me about your conversation when you told her to ignore me, and that she is really miffed with you and is not going to do as y

because in lotteries the more you study, the more difficult it becomes to predict the next draw
Think about what the draw history represents... it is not all of the draws on the PRNG or ball machine, as they all run test draws... it is a record of the combos they paid out on. Pennsylvania evening pick 3 has been going since the late 1970s... EVERY straight combo has been drawn at least 5 times, some over 30 times. We know that the draws are random, and that past draws are independent of future draws, we also know that each position in the pick 3 is an independent variable. We also

You spoke my mind, for MM to be won at the 300M mark, not sure about the bigger jackpots advertising - maybe it's too early. Do people here believe the morons who carry a snowball into congress in February and claim that global warming is a hoax because it still snows on some cold winter days? Just as a February snowfall and the recent extremely hot days aren't indicators of the yearly average, those two jackpots are statistically unusual (although vastly more likely than a player winning b

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Here is the song Kenny Rogers wrote about Stats. STATS In a rundown old trailer, with tickets piled high, Stats sat there explaining just why he can't win. He said, They all track me, each number I play, And they change all the balls before drawing day. He said, God sends me numbers in dreams every night, Through butterflies, turtles, and heavenly signs. I've been writing a book since about '09, And one day they'll all see that my numbers were right.
