A computer glitch caused a delay in the live TV broadcast of a Powerball drawing on July 2, 2008. This occurred around the same time that Jeffrey Epstein's Zorro Trust claimed an $85 million Powerball win from a ticket purchased in Oklahoma, sparking suspicions of fraud, according to Grok on X. While the timing and secrecy fueled speculation, no direct evidence of rigging or fraud has been found to date.
The Powerball drawing was eventually held, revealing a single winning ticket sold in Al

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
Watch the video. Pretty simple to understand. Reading is fundamental.
1. A state only allowed anonymous claiming for $10 million plus wins and the jp was under that amount.
2. A young guy in his 20s decided to take the yearly annuity of 350k.
3. The attorney argued that based on the expected lifespan of this young person, the total annuities would easily exceed $10 million over his expected lifespan. THUS HE WAS ALLOWED TO CLAIM ANONYMOUSLY. A very creative legal argument that worke

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
There is a fascinating interview on YouTube with a lottery attorney. He discusses how Michigan had tried to delay allowing his client to claim and the Michigan lottery claimed they were not ready . After 3 weeks he told the lottery he was showing up the next day at 10 AM and if the lottery office was not ready, he was calling a press conference. The state lottery backed down.
For another client in another state, the lottery officials claimed the client did not win $10 million to qualify for

Florida and Claiming a Jackpot Anonymously
Right. They shouldn't have a problem putting a winners face and name on their website. To my mind the real question is do they require it?
Theoretically they could put any given winners picture that had claimed anonymously on their website after six months had elapsed, but that's IF The Florida Lottery requires winners pictures to appear on their website like New York does. It's possible they dont. And they might not even have taken the winners picture at the time the ticket was claimed beca

Something is rotten in the state of Michigan
As I do every morning I read the news on the Michigan website.
Today they have a picture of a winning Fantasy 5 ticket.
At the top of the ticket it says it was printed at 2:30:06
and underneath the EZ match section it says 4:30:06
Also all the EZ Match prizes are $4!
The Michigan Fantasy 5 is an RNG game.
Can anyone explain what happened here?

State income tax applies to the state in which you live at the time you gain constructive receipt or the economic benefit of the money. Unless the ticket is from a state you don't live in, in which case that state gets their income tax before your home state gets a crack at it.
what is the advantage of hiring someone advertising themselves as a lottery lawyer over someone [else]
There's a lawyer in MA who has represented a number of winners, and (at least according to the reporting I sa

Money and the Crime of Kidnaping
While being physically harmed due to a large lottery win likely isn't a huge threat, I don't know what a more dangerous threat could be.
If you don't devote resources to reducing risk your chances of being harmed because you're rich add to the risks you had before you were rich, but mostly it's a small additional risk. What you apparently can't figure out is either what you said or how becoming rich affects the various chances of physical harm.
Case in point - Dee Dee Moore first befrie
