Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I think what winoneday meant was that it was bad luck for the house. In the long run, the average jackpot won will equal the expected value. In a game like this, a drawing every few days with odds of 1 in 300 million, the long run could be many years. In a short period of time, the players can be lucky which means the house (MUSL) is unlucky. Unlike other games like pick 3 or any table game or slot machine in a casino, where more jackpots are good for business because the long run for th

Buying MM or PB lottery tickets
What game cost 3 dollars or less. With the chance to win 2 million dollars with better odds Lots of state games. For a single ticket at a cost of $1 NY lotto has odds of about 1 in 22.5 million, but if you're going to spend $3 you can get 3 tickets and odds of 1 in 7.5 million. When it was hit last week the cash prize was about $7.3 million. That's more than 3 1/2 times as much money with a 50% better chance of winning it. Let alone hundreds of millions... If you're hoping to win m

Answer Me This...
I realize that from a Florida Fantasy5 players perspective going to two draws per day flat out stinks, and that me posting all of the hidden benefits for the Florida Lottery doesn't make it any better for players. However there is one more thing I'd like to say and then I'll stop my long winded rants. I think in 2020 (not sure if that's the correct year or not, but if it's not 2020 then it's close to 2020) The New York Lottery implemented two drawings per day for their Pick5 game, Take5. Tak

Five dollar MM
Still can't figure this one out? I looked on the Big Winners section on the Michigan lottery website and set the date from when the current Mega Millions started until NOV 2 and there were two prizes of $50k and above in Michigan for Mega Millions during that time and those were $50k and $3Million. For PowerBall , in Michigan, there were 84 prize at or above $50k and those were many $50k prizes and several $1million and $2million prizes. Maybe that will help you figure it out? A

Games most played
My first choice is Powerball, but only when the jackpot is truly outrageous - 500-750 Mil cash value or more. The way it is moving up now it is just about time to jump in for the big one - only a few more draws to go before it hits my target I think. My second choice is the Rolling Cash 5 5/39 game in Ohio. I do it the same way as Powerball - I save the cost of a ticket each draw in 100K jackpot increments and jump in when the jackpot is 350-400K or more. I just started doing that for this g

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Lottery sales for the big national games are down. This is probably the main reason the Mega Millions game was recently changed. Even on my worst days I'm not nearly stupid enough to think they wouldn't have tried messing with the game even if sales were still what they were 3 to 5 years ago, but the change was definitely an attempt to increase sales. So far the sales per drawing have been consistently higher than shortly before the change for the jackpots values we've seen, and sales f

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Yes it is getting closer and I believe it is getting ready to really take off over the next 4-5-6 drawings if is not won. So, I have adjusted my buying/saving strategy a little bit because of that. While I am still in my savings mode waiting for the cash value to reach stratospheric levels before I go All In I am buying tickets the same way I am saving for The Big One , one ticket for each 100 Mil of cash value. I bought two tickets for last night just so I could be in the game and won the l

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
That explains him blaming lottery officials for his being a poor lottery player. You don't know that there's no such thing as a poor Lottery player ? Or even a good one for that matter? Even Kurt Panouses said in one of those BW videos that his clients all have one big thing in common - They're all very LUCKY I've got some trouble with something else you revealed about yourself in a different LP thread. You said you liked Florida's Governor. That's all well and good, but you're also ti

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm thinking about buying more tickets, but the big question for me is how many would I buy? I posted above that I won 40 bucks (cash) and I did buy one ticket with that money. I still have the other twenty dollar bill in my wallet, so maybe I'll buy another ticket with that. For now I'm keeping my eye on the raffle just to see what happens. Sales have been slow... about 3600 a day, so if they remain slow that'll have some bearing on whether or not I'll buy more. I'm a fan of raffles..
