Mega Millions and Powerball Race
That could be true, am a lay person when it comes lottery math, systems and formulas.
I however think that if two people each had a $5 budget per week to play the lottery, and person A chooses to play MM and person B plays PB. Person A will most likely play one draw a week.
On the other hand, person B after two PB draws will have a $1 change, and they are more likely to top it up with another $1 to play all three PB draws in a week.
It's harder for person A to top up another $5 to pl

Impact of "Free Money" on Lottery Spending
JustMaybe brings up a really good question. The data actually backs it up.
During the stimulus check period (2020-2021), US lottery sales jumped roughly 20% year-over-year. That wasn't just bigger jackpots driving more tickets, the spike in sales started within days of each stimulus deposit hitting bank accounts. The timing was too consistent to be coincidence.
There's a well-documented behavioral economics concept called mental accounting , people treat money differently depending on wh

Powerball
I know me, and I'd feel exactly as you would even though I play for entertainment. There are Hardrock casinos located near me, but I've never been. The only other form of gambling I do besides playing the lottery is in The Stock Market, which I've done for the last 45 years. Over that 45 year time period I've made more money than I ever invested, but there were a few times (like in 2000 and 2008) when I didn't do so well.
For me personally, in addition to the above, there's this - I have a

Does Lottery Software work?
The strategy deployed for playing depends on goal. As specified earlier my goal is to minimize the cost of long term playing while maximizing chances of winning at the same time. Long term profit is not an objective because statistically it is not going to happen (short term profits are quite possible, thou). And if I make a profit in just one play (happened in June, July, August and now in October) I'm not going to stop to just celebrate the fact. The goal is long term.
If I had a budget of

Does Lottery Software work?
I aim for the truly impossible goals. I play one ticket for any game. I also use Python to explore ideas, and to back test. The challenges when restricting yourself to one combo mean you surely do not win as much, but I am at the lowest budget possible.
I am fully aware that playing more tickets is the only way to slightly bend the odds in my favor, but I am cheap. I have more fun coding in Python than actually playing.
It can be frustrating when trying to determine the next combo, even

because in lotteries the more you study, the more difficult it becomes to predict the next draw
Currently I am experimenting with a 2 step process.
Step 1. Classify the last 150 draws (NOT the full history) which gives each digit a fair chance to appear 15 times in each position. Use a strict classification boundary of one standard deviation above and below the 10% expectancy, and eliminate hots and colds as outliers.
Step 2. Fill in the remaining neutral numbers into lists and use them in a QP generator I wrote in Python.
The end result is just one combo, free of any bias I ma

Mega Millions Drawing Increase
Here you go Elmer Fudd..... portion of Mega Millions ticket sales revenue does go to the states that participate in the lottery.
Here's how it generally works
Mega Millions and Powerball: For these large, multi-state lotteries, 50% of the sales revenue goes into the prize pool to fund winnings. States' Share: The remaining 50% is allocated to participating states. A Mega Millions spokesperson told ABC News that this remaining 50% covers retailers' commissions, vendor fees, lottery admin

About those NC Digital Online Games...What's the verdict?
I asked the search engine about NC digital instant games and what money they take in vs what money they pay out. I asked the question b/c the games seem to just take your money and never give you anything substantial. Below is the response, but I am having trouble believing that they pay out 87% of proceeds. Nonetheless, I do believe the part that says that even though they are taking in more $$ with these games, that they are contributing less to the education system than they did before the di

3 option in the lottery Option 1 (Focus on Strategy and Perception) .
Option 2 and the impact of a win.
For a small win, it is the fleeting moment where you feel some sense of accomplishment. If your Option one strategy is to maximize wins on minimal investment, a $500 straight P3 win can generally put whatever system you are working on to a profit. If that strategy also keeps you from playing the bigger games until you get a small win, it is a powerful budget tool that only allows participation in the big games while on house money .

Lottery Game Percentages
I know this is crazy but here goes:
1 Below is a list of lottery numbers by positions 1 through 6 that hit 80% of the time.
You may get a 3of6, 4of6, 5of6, 6of6.
2 Purchase 100 ping pong balls at your favorite on line store or local brick and mortar store.
3 Obtain 6 paper bags from you local supermarket. They should be free.
4 Take a black magic marker and number the 14 ping pong balls from the position 1 and place them in position 1 paper bag.
5 Do the same for pos
