Answer Me This...
One more 'one more thing'......
I firmly believe that The Florida Lottery knew well in advance of implementing the midday drawing that ticket sales would go down. By how much they'd go down was probably the only question they had on their minds.
They also were very likely aware (probably advised by an advertising/marketing firm) that tampering with something that works very well could have very negative consequences in terms of ticket sales. (Like happened to Coca-Cola when they changed

Answer Me This...
Just like you, I'm sure many players would think they'd make more money from extra ticket sales, but to answer your question requires me to ask you a question.
That question is - WHAT extra ticket sales? Today's Florida Fantasy5 jackpots are way down. The winners prize pool contains 62% of all ticket sales for the sales period of the upcoming drawing. Single winner jackpots are now approximately $110,000 when prior to going to two draws per day they were approximately $200,000.
62% of $

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I agree I think it's going to end up between 1.45 and 1.5 tonight.
The worksheet is reporting a supported annuity of 1.411, and I'd imagine they're still being deliberately conservative, so 1.45 seems likely to be close to the least we should be expecting.
Saturday is projected at 1.7 but I'll be surprised if it's not between 1.8 and 1.9
They're forecasting sales of $467 million, and a supported annuity of 1.762, so I'd think it should easily get to 1.8. Based on the current foreca

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The Florida Lottery finally updated their weekly sales data. Their potential total sales figure comes to 379128.
One thing I saw that I hadn't noticed before was this note on the bottom of the sales update page: *Ticket sales will continue through June 30, 2026, or until 2,000,000 tickets are sold, whichever occurs first.
Uh, Florida Lottery, reality is calling...

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot has increased by $27 million to $547 million after 28 consecutive rolls and is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 2024. There is only a 2.7% chance the jackpot will be won in the October 7 draw with projected sales of $40.6 million.
Interesting to note, Mega Millions sales were from $45 million to $51 million per draw last month for three consecutive draws when the jackpot was less than $360 million. It appears the reason for the high sales was the Po

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The supported jackpot is $69.7 million whereas in the previous run, the supported jackpot was $66.9 million.
And the cash value is now 41.9 vs 39.9. The annuity value is 4.19% higher than in the previous run, but cash value, which is a direct measurement of sales is 4.77% higher. That may be an indication that as players buy in when the jackpot gets bigger the $5 price becomes something they're okay with at lower jackpot levels, too.
Or it might just be because very high jackpots tend t

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot has increased by $30 million to $680 million after 33 consecutive rolls and is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 2024. There is a 3.3% chance the jackpot will be won in the October 24 draw with projected sales of $50.5 million. The projected sales are just shy of the record sales for this run at $51.5 million.
A new roll record was set for the second draw in a row. The previous 33 roll record was $625 million. The new record is an increase of $55 mill

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The Mega Millions jackpot has increased by $25 million to $650 million after 32 consecutive rolls and is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 2024. There is a 3.2% chance the jackpot will be won in the October 21 draw with projected sales of $48 million. Even though there is an expected up tick in sales, the annuity factor decreased, offsetting the sales increase.
Despite all the criticism of the slow movement of the Mega Millions jackpot, a new 32 roll record was set with the $6

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
I think when they sold us Faster growing jackpots they forgot to factor in what could actually happen i.e the jackpot being won sooner.
Weird, isn't it? They talk a lot about the upside but not the downside.
Revenue per draw is up a bit, but a fair chunk of the revenue goes to pay for the mandatory megaplier. That means the slightly greater revenue isn't enough to put more money towards the jackpot based on the ticket sales we've seen so far. Ticket sales are pretty close to half of wha

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Update from Florida Lottery: 299435 tickets sold as of 6/4. At 96 days in, that averages to 3119 sold per day. The drawing is 26 days from 6/4, and if sales hold around that average, we are looking at a potential total Raffle sales around 380529.
