Should I ever be so lucky,,,, I want to remain anonymous for a longer period of time than what Florida's statutes temporarily allow for. I can't think of any reason why I couldn't. Obviously this is a question for an estate attorney. Doubt I'd hit the claim office prior to talking to a lawyer. Counting chickens before they even hatch! G5

That could be true, but when the game was Lucky for Life and Cash 4 Life, we had at least frequent 2nd prize winners. Given the odds of the game, I will continue to give it a try, at least every Sunday and when I opt not to play MM, I can substitute that with MFL. It never hurts to try

Instead of playing one set of numbers for Illinois Lucky Day Lotto (5/45 progressive jackpot, tonight $750,000) I played five. So according to some herer I've cut ther odds of 1,221,759 down to 38,719 so surely I can expect to win somethnig tonight, no? I was tempted to go anoither six sets which woukd have brogught the odds down to under a million, 596,562 but was playing on a lotto vending machikne and only had as $20 pon me and since thr machines don't give change passed it up. Thank you, Artist 77 and Coin Toss, for the kind words. I cherish every day as a blessing. Unfortunately, my widowmaker came with damage and my heart is reduced in functionality so it's pumping around 1/3 as much blood each beat as normal. I get tired very easily and can't lift anything more than 30 pounds. Thankfully, I have a wonderful wife who has really stepped up to make life tolerable. I've been thinking a bit (a sometimes dangerous thing for me to do) about what I wrote above. To me, it all boils down to this - While being physically harmed due to a large lottery win likely isn't a huge threat, I don't know what a more dangerous threat could be. I asked Google When was the most recent lucky for life jackpot win? The answer I got, Most Recent Top-Tier Win: A ticket purchased via the Jackpocket app in Arkansas won the grand prize in late September 2023 I hope that someone wins the jackpot before the change to the new game and I hope after the changes, the jackpot gets won more frequent. If the answer is correct, that only means that not as many people play the game. Two years with no winner is not encouraging at all.

Sudden wealth, no matter how big it is or isn't, has caused more problems than it has ever fixed. I voted for 10 million, but I don't really know if that's the right amount for me or not. Riches are something I've never had the pleasure of enjoying and I have zero experience managing large sums of money, so I'll badly need lawyers as well as other finance pros if I'm ever so lucky. I truly feel lucky to live in a state that does not tax the lottery. The difference in the finally amount with big jackpots runs into the millions of dollars. Actually the tax difference feels like a jackpot win. The recent 1.8 billion Powerball jackpot, the difference for a winner from New York and one from those that don't tax the lottery is a whooping 91 million dollars plus change.
