This looks like a lot of senseless calculations and in my opinion a waste of time. My opinion is to look for the pick 3 sets that are out the longest. Maybe the 5 longest out sets from each group. So we can see where the confusion comes from... original post is about odds, but title says probability... Probability of buying N tickets for X possible combinations is ALWAYS N in X or N out of X. in probability X is the possible combos and cannot be reduced, your probability with 2 tickets of a pick 2 is ALWAYS 2 in 100, buy 5 tickets, it is 5 out of 100. This is true. I have looked at the pick 3 evening game in PA as the 3 digit combo instead of per column as usual, the only takeaway was that in the evening game, which started in 1977, every single straight combo has been drawn at least 5 times.

$5 for a single Mega Millions lottery ticket is insane. In Florida we can buy a $5 grouper and get a $3 lotto, $1 Jackpot triple play, a free $1 fantasy , and a $1 straight pick 4. We can buy a $2 lotto, $2 Powerball, and a $1 fantasy 5 ticket for $5 The lottery commission is out of their minds charging $5 for a single Mega Millions ticket when we can get more tickets for the same price.

Lottery is not random it's predetermined
To all my lottery players out here the lottery is not random it's predetermined. They know what will fall and they pick the numbers that come out. Just don't believe it's as random as they say. Just think about it in midday Wisconsin the digit #5 hasn't been hit since January 6th and it's going on February tomorrow so come on now you can't say this is random. Lol

Several years ago there was a Cash 5 / Pick 6 system advertised that it would reduce the range the range of numbers in any 5/6 game. I think it was called the EPR System and it cost around $ 500 dollars.

I used to play pick 4 @ 5. Scratchers. Powerball @Mega Millions. Now it's just 1 ticket of Powerball and Mega Millions. Cost me 19 bucks a week. I rarely buy extra Powerball or Mega Millions. Unless it's high. Like now. I bought an extra 20 bucks worth for tonight.
