There are 26 Powerballs, so the probability of matching the Powerball is 1/26. Let X be equal to the probability of matching all five white balls. Powerball is $3 here in Idaho. They bundle the multiplier with it for your convenience. Can't buy a ticket here without the multiplier. Then we have the Double Play for another dollar which isn't a bad price for a chance at a $10 million dollar top prize. So for me, Powerball already costs $4.

Don't quote me. But I think its random number generated draws. And it's the M.S.L.U. They also do the powerball and Mega millions. I googled then clicked on the millionare for life site. Then clicked Previous results. I was sent to the powerball drawing page on youtube. So I quess they will not show any drawings.

Hmm, peculiar... When Powerball recently went beyond the Billion Dollar Barrier, it gave Mega Millions a Boost. Now, Mega Millions is set to finally break the Billion Dollar Barrier, there's no Powerball Boost. IMO, seems players had money to spend on Powerball and maybe chip in a few for Mega Millions. But, now have barely enough to spend on Mega Millions and have to cut back on their Powerball plays. We can see this in the graph below.

I stopped playing Mega Millions completely after the price of tickets increased to $5. I still play Powerball since the price remains at $2. But I will say this now. If Powerball ever increases their ticket price to $5, I will completely stop buying lottery tickets and try something else, like daytrading.

I believe the reason for the drop was because the $1.7 billion Powerball jackpot was won. Mega Millions sales were up because Powerball sales were way up. Once the jackpot was won, sales for both games dropped dramatically.
