In 30 days the expected number of hits was 17 and the actual was 18. You're not even one standard deviation above the mean. I believe that most people that have won the jackpot did not have a lucky run that built up to their win. Something like one week they matched 2 numbers, a few weeks later 3 numbers, a month later 4 numbers and after a while the jackpot. They most probably are players just like you and me who one day got luck on their side and woke up on the other side of the rich list

wow The lottery gets a bad rep for preying on the poor. And you're in favor of this? Maybe the lottery could team up with the welfare department and send people sample scratchoffs and play slips along with their food stamp cards. It would help drive up lottery business and remove a few lucky folks from the rolls (until they blow it all and then come back).

The PB jackpot want won but 4 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize Thats very impressive. I love it when we have numerous 2nd prize winners during every draw, whether MM or PB. That 1M is a significant win however you look at it.
