Texas Lottery
Not in TX, at least using Jackpocket, or any other courier.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
sam9009,
Online courier? Odd your ticket doesn't denote a QP. Why use a courier instead of using one of the many retailers in Brooklyn?

I just read an article that claims Gary Grief and Ryan Mindell were aware and ok with courier ticket sales even though it was and is against the law.

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
I just checked that game out. The odds look pretty good. And as high as the jackpot is. Compared to the odds. A courier service could wreck this game tonight. Again good luck if your getting a ticket tonight!

My pick is also a QP from an online courier.
Good luck.

TX Lottery website has a notice that courier services are being prohibited. Proposed rule amendments are published. Rules will be proposed to the board on March 4.
That didn't take long.

When you have allegations of a courier buying tickets for groups in Malta (a tax haven for the rich) for a State Lottery game, then that is really unfair for the local player.
These are very serious allegations.
However, like in most things, the system always works for the rich.
Will buy my one MM and one PB ticket for the weekend and see if I get lucky.

So if you find a winning formula, it's considered fraud?
Nah that's not the point.
I'm looking at it from two different scales.
One has more money to play higher games, and the small fish playing pick 3 gets to go?
If my 7yr old son magically finds a pattern, and because he can't play because he's underage and tells me numbers to purchase. I'm functioning as a courier right? And I go out and buy 72 tickets in a month. All winning.
Okay. Fair enough!

Glad to see the ban on courier services. Now go take back all the extra machines and shut 'em down! Let them move back to California (or Delaware).
I really want to believe those guys had the best interest of the lottery players at heart. I want to believe the were hoping to make Texas the largest lottery in the states. In part I'm sure it's true, but they were either naive or plain foolish to go about it the way they did
The burr under my saddle is looking at this stack of Texas lotter

Good Luck!
Todd has a story on it in The News forum.
Sounds like it will go to litigation. Expect the state is taking that route to get more information for their investigation.
She shouldn't be penalized for the activities of courier services under Gary Grief.
There's always the possibility that the state brings up the thirteen points of law they say were being ignored and argues if you run a stop sign Monday, and don't get a ticket, that doesn't make it legal to run a stop sign on Friday.
