The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Florida Raffle 2026: What are the odds? The return of the Florida Lottery Raffle certainly caught my eye. I have thought about the raffle in years past, but did not realize it had been 20 years since the last one. It looks like they have re-vamped the format (multiple drawings instead of one drawing, multiple million-dollar prizes, all tickets purchased valid for all drawings.) But I am curious as to how they have calculated the odds. Now, I have played the Florida Lottery Jackpot Trip

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Does anybody know if any of the top prize winners of a million dollars in the current raffle will be able to remain anonymous? I won 40 bucks yesterday. I'm going to spend it on two millionaire raffle tickets. If I was ever so lucky to win one of the top prizes, I'd want to claim it anonymously, but I'm not sure that can happen. For Florida draw games (Lotto, PB, MM Fantasy5) only winners names of the top prize (a jackpot win) appear in The Top Prize Winners and Retailers Report publishe

Impact of "Free Money" on Lottery Spending
And that's IF you can buy a homeowner policy. In Florida that's not all that easy to do. Many big insurance companies won't write a homeowners policy in Florida. Then there's the hurricane deductible that must be by Florida law included in each and every homeowners policy. It's a separate deductible from a normal deductible. During hurricane season, June1st to November 30th,

89 second prize winners for the powerball
Good catch. I gave it a little more thought a few hours later after I had posted and realized that my state (Florida) would be responsible for paying out second place prizes. But Florida doesn't have to concern themselves with it. Zero 2nd place Winners. G5

Is this Mega Millions cash value tax calculation correct? (Florida example)
Hi everyone, I'm building a lottery calculator and want to confirm the tax math for a Mega Millions example. Let s say: Jackpot: $110 million Cash value: about $49.2 million Winner lives in Florida (no state tax) If the winner chooses the cash option, is this calculation correct? 24% federal withholding upfront Additional ~13% federal tax at filing ( 37% total) 0% Florida state tax Estimated net: $49.2M 0.63 $31M Is this a reasonable estim

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The Florida Lottery finally updated their weekly sales data. Their potential total sales figure comes to 379128. One thing I saw that I hadn't noticed before was this note on the bottom of the sales update page: *Ticket sales will continue through June 30, 2026, or until 2,000,000 tickets are sold, whichever occurs first. Uh, Florida Lottery, reality is calling...
