Yeah, we do have front pair back pair on Pick 3 and 4 but I think it would be easier to jut plug the football scores into a Pick 2 than to guess front or back for the scores. We don't have Pick 5 other than a 5/45 progressive jackpot game.

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
Knew a guy that believed a true pick 3 back-up was a straight bet with a front pair or with the other pair bets. His logic was the pair bet was based on a straight and while the box bet pays more, it pays nothing missing the last digit.

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
I bet 003 on two tickets this morning $6. The winning number was 008. It bet the etxra dollar for the front pair and won $100 on two tickets.

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
Are you sure about that? What if I buy 100 tickets for the front pair of a pick 3 game? Unlike MM/PB where buying all the combinations is logistically impossible, it's not hard to buy 100 tickets, from 00 to 99. It's a terrible idea, because you'll spend $100 to win $50, but that is certainly a lock.

DC 5 Lottery needs to be audited immediately. The same thing that happened to Tennessee in 2007
The wins in RED could not be won during the Singles Only event... quite the DC Lottery Payout Savings, aye?
Well, guess they needed to fund that promotion somehow.

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
It depends on what numbers you pick.
Someone gave an example of a pick 2 game (and most pick 3 games with front pair etc. bets) with 100 possible outcomes. Betting any 10 combos gets 10 to 1 odds, but are the odds the same for any 10 combos and 10 combos with 10 different digits in the first position?
RCB reminded me of when I too hit 5 out of 6 playing the Ohio Lotto when it was a 6/40 game. Wrote down all 40 numbers on playing cards, mixed them up and drew six at a time and placed the

Never did this before
You said a bet that is guaranteed to win. In the lottery, slots, and live keno, any bet that pays the gambler something is called a win . It is only in table games, and not the progressive side bets where the wins are stated as for 1 rather than to 1 , that a win is defined to be a net win. As you know, for winning bets, the dealer takes chips out of the tray and hands them to the player and leaves the original bet in place. This is done purely for convenience.
If you buy all 100 possible fr

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
In this thread we will discuss how to calculate your odds of winning a draw game if you buy more than one ticket.
Any lottery's website gives you the odds, but that is for one ticket.
When you buy more than one ticket, you can calculate your odds of winning simply by dividing the stated odds by the number of tickets you hold.
Let's take, for example, a Pick 2 game. Even if your state's lottery doesn't operate a Pick 2, if they operate a Pick 3 and let you bet on the front pair or bac
