I was stationed in Germany in the US Army i8n the 1970s. There was a German Ford, a Taunus, Tanaus not Taurus. Those cars were mkade to last. GI's that had them would sell thgem to GIs arriving as the Tau8nmus owne4s wwere rotationg back to the state, one leaving and one arriving nbd 2 to 3 years later the one leaving would sello it to anothger juust arriving. Those cars just went on for years.
