MM & PB and 'measly'
In Idaho it would have been around 2.7 million.

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
If anything, I would have done what Idaho does with the PowerBall and make it $3 with the Megaplier included and make the add-on a Mega Millions DoublePlay.

Who are you going to tell after you win the monday's powerball jackpot.
A lawyer, an accountant and the Idaho Lottery. Nobody else, not even siblings.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Well, in Idaho PB is $3 per line. They started bundling the multiplier for your convenience a few years ago.

That means it's diffrent. Reguardless if they automatically add something.
Here's an experiment that should be extremely easy if you're really in Baltimore. Walk or drive the short distance to a convenience store, walk in, and say, Good day, Sir/Madam. I'd like to purchase one Powerball ticket with Power Play . Then you can get back to us and let us know if the cost is different than buying a ticket in Idaho. If it is you can boast about being right every day for a year. If it's not the bes

The state taxes should be the same... LOL
An Idaho Powerball ticket is not priced differently. For $3, you get one line with Powerplay. It is exactly the same price as one line with Powerplay anywhere else.
What makes Idaho different is not the price, but the lack of a $2 ticket no Powerplay.
State taxes should be the same in every state ... I'm still cracking up at that one!

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
In the video I watched, this guy gave a couple examples of how he was able to find a way for his client to claim anonymously in states that were not anonymous. In one state he said he studied the wording of the law and worked with the state Attorney General who agreed with his interpretation. I guess I'd have to get a signed agreement that he can do that in Idaho, and if not, I owe him only a few hundred bucks for his time investigating it.

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
I used to drive to Oregon when Idaho first bundled the multiplier for my convenience. I used that as my protest for about a year and a half, then got tired of the hour drive over there and an hour back. Montana and Wyoming are too far to drive. Wyoming is about 5 hours one way and Montana is farther I think.

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
It might be worth it if I found someone who could figure out a way to claim it anonymously. I remember that Brad Duke said he asked lawyers in Idaho if they knew how to do it, and they told him there's no way. I'd really hate for anyone to know if I won a large sum, especially relatives I haven't seen in 30 years. I might be willing to pay a million for my privacy.

Any Millionaire for Life Winners?
Powerball is $3 here in Idaho. They bundle the multiplier with it for your convenience. Can't buy a ticket here without the multiplier. Then we have the Double Play for another dollar which isn't a bad price for a chance at a $10 million dollar top prize. So for me, Powerball already costs $4.
