Quote: Originally posted by RJOh on May 23, 2004ayenowitall,I also noticed that both the MegaMillion winners in Dayton back in March and the lady in Euclid that won the big prize last year were black, but I could never figure out with blacks only being 6% of the population why so many MM jackpot winners. Do some people not care how much they spend on lottery and feel it will be worth it if you win?

why do black americans rarely win big jackpots
Since you did not specify what big jackpots you were referring to- l would submit to you that LeBron James hit the jackpot by being selected First overall in the NBA draft. Same goes for Kwame Brown who turned out to be a dud.Overall Blacks have hit the Jackpot Big-time, more than any other race. I have no idea what you talking about. There are more black multi millionaires in the NBA than Whites. Better check your crystal ball Brother.

I think I woke up one day when a friend of mine who's friend played in the NBA said his friends and a few other (NBA) players went in years ago on Powerball spending like 10 grand on tickets over the course of a few days and the best they got was 4 numbers. They payed a few people to go through all of the tickets for them. Craziness. Why
