The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The Florida Lottery did their weekly sales update of 330394 at end-of-sales for yesterday. Since I got my ticket at beginning of sales, it looks like total sales on Thursday were less than 2,000.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Bought ticket 3284xx around 10:00 this morning. So after 109 days of sales (I didn't include today, as I bought my ticket about an hour after Raffle sales came online) the daily sales average is around 3013. That extrapolates to a potential of 367,000 in total sales.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Looks like the last Raffles were in 2016 and 2017. Go to the lottery homepage, navigate to Media Resources/ Annual Reports and have a look at the sales graphs. 2007 was the year with the highest Raffle sales of any year that had a Raffle. I still think it was the drop in scratch-off sales in '24 that sparked this year's Raffle. Guess they miscalculated the players' willingness to drop $20 per play.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The current raffle is capped at 2,000,000 tickets. But ticket sales have been so slow since March 1st when tickets first went on sale, there's no way they'll ever sell 2,000,000. As of yesterday they've only sold about 337,000. The sales cycle ends on June 30th, so the odds of them selling out 2 million tickets have a snowball's chance in Hell. Gotta love that if you're a player. In addition to the benefits you listed, it's guaranteed that there will be 10 winners of one million dollars. Th

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Historically, albeit rarely, MM would occasionally approach pre-tax expectation values of greater than 1.0. This is sure to never happen with the $5 ticket. It's entirely possible that the current format could reach 1.0 before taxes. In fact, it's even more likely thanks to the $5 ticket price, and 4 of the top 5 MM jackpots show that it's possible. The five biggest MM jackpots all exceeded a pre-tax 1.0 expectation value (about $605 million cash), with cash values of $877.8 million, $7

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
They very well have misjudged how players are thinking these days. They do say that this particular raffle is a promotion which makes me think it's not going to be offered again anytime soon. If ticket sales don't materialize like they want/need, then I doubt they'll bring it back. For many players 20 bucks a pop is a tough sell. And the lack of instant gratification that a scratch off offers could be a big turn off for some. Add to that many folks are feeling an economic pinch d

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Does anyone know when the last millionaire raffle was held? I moved to Florida in 2020 and this raffle is the first one I've seen. I doubt anybody but the Florida Lottery knows if there was a ticket buying frenzy toward the back end of the sales cycle for the previous raffle. I'm looking forward to seeing the ticket sales number as of tomorrow posted on the lottery's website. Hoping we see a number in the range of 318,000 to 321,000. G5

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Raffles are the one lottery format where the odds are fully knowable up front fixed ticket pool, fixed prizes, no randomness in the denominator once sales cap. Kind of refreshing after the draw games where you're staring down 1-in-300-million. Does FL cap the ticket count this time, or is it open-ended?

Record breaking CA fantasy 5 jackpot 6/20
Fantasy 5 hitting a record is wild those pari-mutuel jackpots don't usually balloon the way the big multistate games do. Anyone know if it rolled that high from a long no-winner streak, or was it a sales surge? Curious what actually pushed it up there.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Actual ticket sales reported by Florida Lottery for 6/11 is 314,839 . That averages to 2200 sold per day in the past week. If this pace keeps up, we might see a grand total sold around 360,000 to 370,000!
