you win the jackpot. how far away are you moving?
I mentioned that it would be a good idea to move to a very rural place like a very rural small town like Lost Springs, Wyoming to avoid being hassled for lottery winnings but it's a much better idea to move to a gated wealthy, community in say Beverly Hills where all of the residents are wealthy and wouldn't be hassling you for money since they are already wealthy themselves. And also in a gated wealthy community you would get to enjoy the many fun amenities that a gated wealthy community has ra

Secrets of a lottery lawyer-Kurt Panouses interview
I used to drive to Oregon when Idaho first bundled the multiplier for my convenience. I used that as my protest for about a year and a half, then got tired of the hour drive over there and an hour back. Montana and Wyoming are too far to drive. Wyoming is about 5 hours one way and Montana is farther I think.

Wyoming is worth the sacrifice, you have both anonymity and zero state tax on lottery winnings

I chose over 1000 miles away.. That's at least a state away. I live in a very popular and heavily populated city so I would want to move far away, move to a small town/rural place where I could enjoy my jackpot in peace without a lot of people hassling and harassing me for money. I'd want to move to a place like Wyoming that's not really popular or heavily populated.

Fantasy 5 payouts are garbage now!
Good point about Florida having more people to split the winning money. Makes sense that the prize money went down with it being distributed amongst so many people. I guess the money pool would be better in a place like say Wyoming where there is a much smaller population. :)

Who are you going to tell after you win the monday's powerball jackpot.
I found where I read about forming an LLC in another state such as Delaware, New Mexico or Wyoming vs. Florida. (I live in Florida and Florida law allows me to form an LLC in any state) If you live in Florida this info may be of some value to you. Here's a cut and paste of what I found - Anonymous LLCs There are good reasons to form an anonymous LLC. This is largely because nothing good can come from posting your assets and personal information online. If you simply form a single LL

Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
That is very true, they say the wealth hardly gets down to the 3rd generation. The smart multi millionaires and billionaire of this life go to South Dakota and Wyoming and open 1000 years Dynasty Trusts with very specific instructions on how the money gets dolled out. No one has access to the money to spend it down, they get allowances based on the directives of the grantor.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
California prizes are hard to figure out. I know that one won a lot less than normal because the state sold only about 1 million tickets, and the odds of a second place win is 1 in 11 million. 1/11th of $1 million is half of what was actually awarded, and I think that is because the 3rd place prize of $50,000 had no winners, so the prize pool for that one was given to the 2nd place prize. Had one person won the $1 million prize and one person won the $50,000 prize, they each would have gotte
