Arkansas lottery winner of $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot comes forward
For arguments sake let's say no one won pb last night .... and both jackpots rollover and over and over again ..... when would pb surpass mm on the road to a billion plus jackpot?
Based on the recent runs that got big it would probably take about 7 weeks for PB to get bigger than MM, if they're about 210 and 270 at the same time. PB was at 207 on 10/06/25 and 5 weeks later it was at 490. MM was 277 on 8/29 and 5 weeks later it was 520. After 6 weeks they were at 570 and 575. After 7 weeks P

$1.8 billion Powerball jackpot won by a single lottery ticket sold in Arkansas
Would've preferred it to have set new record myself....
I suspect that nobody is more unhappy about having a winner on Wednesday that the people at PB. Not only would a rollover have let them boat about a (possibly legitimate) new record, their 50% take for Saturday's sales would probably have been on the order of $200 million more than what it will be for a $20 million jackpot.
It appears that all 292.2 million combination of tickets were sold out. The jackpot keeps growing until all 2

$1.5 BILLION: Massive Powerball jackpot fuels rush for tickets
The way life is going as of now I will have 6 less tickets for Saturday's drawing than I had for Wednesdays draw.
I still probably should have bought 7 less tickets than I did but anyhow.
Funny I had $26 to spend and I actually considered foregoing the power play in order to purchase lucky 13 tickets for the next drawing but instead got the pp option and now I have $2 to my name.
Come to the think of it I could have spent those 2 dollars on a power play less powerball. Oh well!

Mega Millions jackpot closes in on $1 billion
The rush of ticket sales over the next few days may propel the jackpot to an even higher amount before the drawing tales place.
Now that's funny.
Ever since Mega Millions jacked up the price to $5.00, sales have crashed. There is no rush. The last time we were around $1,000,000,000 was when the ticket cost $2.00 and they sold 100,000,000 tickets.
For Tuesday 11/11/2025 Mega Millions drawing only 19 million tickets were sold.
There won't be any rush as many people can't afford $5

Mississippi Lottery halts Cash 3 triple payout promotion one week in
Those funds intended to pay out the prizes tells us that they knew the promotion would cost them money
Those funds were apparently only enough for six days and not for the entire month of November they advertised.
There is no specific limit on the number of Mississippi Cash 3 tickets an individual can purchase for a single drawing; players can generally buy as many as they want.
Can't find if there is an aggregate payout limit, but if there is no limit, in another week players that

$1.8 BILLION: Powerball jackpot now second-largest ever as ticket sales surge across the USA
Betcha all you MM downers and naysayers will put down $5 - for a ticket next week
We're not going to know who's playing, but players spent $49.89 million to buy about 9.998 million tickets for Friday's drawing. The forecast for Tuesday's drawing is $51.94 million and almost 10.4 million tickets. The last time MM offered a jackpot this big an advertised jackpot of $361 million resulted in players spending $33.75 million for almost 16.9 million tickets at $2 each. The run before that got sale

$1 million Powerball lottery ticket purchased in West Virginia expiring in two weeks
I keep my tickets in the same location ..... then I wait for the drawing ......then I check my tickets .... then if I win a small amount I put that ticket in my wallet to put towards the next big drawing.
As for the losing tickets .....I keep them overnight in the same location ... to check them tomorrow once again . ...just in case the numbers changed between then and the present.
Then when I have checked my tickets multiple times ....I rip them up and toss in trash ..... so that I'll

Arizona Lottery delays expiration date of $12.8 million jackpot-winning ticket in legal battle
Evidently it must have been against company policy for employees to purchase rejected tickets
The stories I've seen have said the policy is that employees can't buy (any) lottery tickets at the store they work at , not just while they're working. There's also the whole deception angle of attempting to buy the ticket in the hopes that the company didn't yet know they owned a ticket worth far more than face value. I don't see any way that it was a lawful sale/purchase.
Unprecedented move
