Arizona lottery retailer employee sued after buying $12.8 million ticket knowing it was a winner
In my opinion, I would have to say that the ticket belongs to the store. He purchased the unsold ticket after the draw, however, the cost of the ticket was already absorbed by the store and was useless once the draw had occurred.
It would be nice if the store and the employee split the winnings, but the store most likely wins this.

One Georgia ticket wins $983 million Mega Millions jackpot
* What's tacky in my opinion is this thinking l won't play MM at present because of the price, so l WANT other players ( suckers) to raise it up before l jump in play, because at that point, price wouldn't matter.
* You either a player or you not, you either going to fish or cut bait!

New Jersey Lottery proposes rules regulating courier services to allow them to operate
Yes i would pay a fee just to avoid the tax in my state. It's almost 9%. And I'm down to just playing one number per draw. So paying double really would not bother me. If i would be able to avoid the state tax I would make out better. It just seems like it can turn into a free for all. Just my opinion though. Thanks for the info. And Goodluck! But I do see both sides of this. As I like ball draw games and my state switched to computer draw. So I would be inclined to play ball draw in a different

New Jersey Lottery proposes rules regulating courier services to allow them to operate
Seems fishy. If an outside entity can buy tickets. So if I don't wanna pay taxes in my state on a win. I can purchase a ticket in a different state as long as they have a currier service. example california because there's no state tax on lottery winnings Then it makes me wonder if said service would stiff you if you won? This is just my opinion... But it seems this could turn into tons of problems that can arise from this. I was thinking it was geared toward people who could not get to the stor

New Jersey Lottery proposes rules regulating courier services to allow them to operate
* That's right. This kill the patient to cure the disease mentality by other State lotteries isn't helpful in any way to it's players.
* Just an opinion, but having LP based in the State being the 400 lb Gorilla in the game, officials made a smart decision.

Indiana legislature rejects bill for online lottery ticket sales
As a resident of Indiana and a player of the Hoosier Lottery, I believe not offering online lottery ticket sales through the app is actually a good decision. Many of us struggle with gambling habits or tendencies, even if we do not always recognize them in ourselves or we find ways to justify our behavior.
This is simply my personal opinion opinions are not facts to take to the bank. However, limiting online access may help encourage more mindful and intentional play rather than impulsive pu

New Jersey Lottery brings back Green Ball promotion for extra Pick 3 drawings
That's a good deal... Pay 4 two MM and get one pb tho' kinda petty not to include the PP considering your paying for a builtin megaplier with the purchase of the MMs .
But I don't think it's a good idea to 'pick your own nose'! Was that pertinent to the subject at hand???? I rather not think so but that's one persons opinion.
Have a shaggy day

Data breach at lottery tech vendor Brightstar exposes personal info of over 100,000 individuals
Another example of the identity verification process being hacked, just like the Tea app that was recently hacked, and many others.
In my opinion it's because securing uploads like identity photos can be a challenge, and these companies don't put in the effort or cost required to do it. It is enticingly simple to setup a simple cloud service and do security by obscurity meaning the files are not actually secured (locked down), but instead they rely upon people not finding them because you'd

Absent a belief in God, how do you have a definition of good?
Charlie Kirk
If there are objective laws on morality and good and evil, didn't that spring from a prime law giver? Otherwise, among too many examples to list here, there are many people in this country who think it is ok to murder someone if they have a different opinion.
The founding father believed our unalienable rights were granted to us by a higher moral authority and not by the government.

Arizona Lottery bans Fast Play bulk ticket purchases
As you have noted, the Tax corrections act of 2025 (SB1274) clarifies that Arizona lottery winnings are taxed at the highest state income tax rate, which is a flat 2.5%. I can't see where it indicates that it does not go into effect until September, but for the purposes of the analysis I will assume that this tax bill, like most others, is retroactive from the beginning of 2025. Also, any tax attorney worth their weight in salt would have the winner delay their jackpot claim until after the enac
