I used to do well on Pick 3 here in Texas, but when they went to 4 draws a day I quit. It is impossible to come out ahead playing 4 draws a day. And playing 2 draws a day means a good chance my numbers would fall on one of the 2 draws I didn't play. And, I'm not implying the lottery would intentionally avoid my numbers from being drawn. Only that doubling the cost of play makes it twice as hard to come out ahead.

That's a true statistic, and very unusual because according to the odds, triples should occur once every 100 draws. Virginia Pick 3 went from August 25, 2024, to June 4, 2025 without triples drawn (2 draws per day).
