They say they are going to increase payouts, but actually they increase the cost. We've heard this before they increased the prize of the mega and Powerball but also increasing the ball field size and the ticket cost. I was reading this waiting to hear the 3 digit prize will increase from $500 to $600, but that's not what they had in mind.

I hope no one wins tomorrow so the record gets broken! I've been waiting along time for that, but the real record is something north of $997.6 million in cash. To get there we need an annuity of $2.173 billion or so (assuming the interest rate doesn't change).
