LDR vs Rootsum vs Shortsum??
Great Point Jack-C. I break them down the same but even more by High even, Low Odd, etc

String formula question.
Thank you both Jack-C and Raven62,
Jack-C, I tried your suggestion, but, I don't have that capability in my spreadsheet.
I did try your example Raven62, and it worked. All I have to do now is expand it to several @IF's to get the desired answer for any + , - , or = number situation.
Wish I had your know-how Raven62, It'd be a whole lot easier putting this together.
Thank you again...

Need Help on excel cell formatting
Thank you Jack C, it works....so if I have 10 cells where 10 or negative 1 is expected to appear I will have to do formatting on the individual cells? Is there a way I can format it one time only? Really I appreciate all your efforts to share your expertise on this. Thank you so much.

LDR vs Rootsum vs Shortsum??
Thanks Jack-C for clearing that up. The main thing that confused me was the LDR (Last Digit Root). To me the root was reducing to one digit, not just the last/least significant digit of the sum. I checked Deflate 3 here and see that the site admin calls the shortsum the Sum Last Digit. Now that's precise. It is just terminology I guess but can certainly be confusing. I think I'll stick to shortsum for now. Thanks again.
