Neural Net Lottery Picker
Has there been any thought to applying NN to scratch off games? My thoughts are that lotto games are random drawings of balls, whereas scratch off jackpot tickets have to be controlled by the lottery in some way to make sure the same retailer is not getting the jackpot tickets. The lottery has to know where all of the jackpot tickets are going to be placed in advance. By tracking the retailer location of the previous jackpot tickets we might to be able to find out where the future jackpots ticke

Mathematics and the Lottery
Did Joan Ginther even play jackpot style games? I thought she just brought thousands of scratch-offs and won some major prizes. I read someone thought she figured out an algorithm that explained how winning scratch-offs were distributed and took advantage of it.

Using math to develop winning strategies
garyo, don't be confused. My post specified certain groups of numbers that appear on NON-WINNING Scratch Off tickets. I've noticed over time that these same numbers are also picked for our Fantasy 5 games. Not each draw, though, but frequently enough to give one an advantage in selecting a group of numbers for both the Fantasy 5 and Lotto games. I asked that you wait until I could win something using these numbers, and I did. I got 3 numbers correct on the Fantasy 5 game, and missed one number (

Indiana, RNGs & Allegations: Time to Test
four4me,I think we're thinking along the same lines. I suspect that, for whatever reason, the daily games just aren't very popular in Indiana. Maybe the Hoosier Lottery just isn't doing a very good job of promoting. I've noticed that the vast majority of their advertising seems to be geared toward scratch-off games and their TV game show. There's some advertising for the PowerBall game also, but that's about the extent of it.I'm going to try to compare those number classifications that CalifDude

RNG computer program
VLT gaming machines are usually equated more with games like bingo, pull-tabs, scratch-offs, or lotto. This is because there are a pre-determined number of winners, and players are competing with each other for a prize rather than against the house. There is also not necessarily a winner in each game.

Best way to spend $100 on lottery?
If I take 100 bucks to play lottery every month, do I spread it across all the different jackpot games, or do I just spread across 1 jackpot game throughout the month? For instance, play Power ball, Mega Millions, lotto, etc., or just power ball?
OR just buy scratch offs?

All you would need to beat scratchoffs is to know the number of tickets sold
A few years ago I read about a guy who sued the Illinois lottery because he read that a number of major prizes in a scratch-off games weren't payout out yet and he brought as many of the unsold scratch-offs as he could find figuring he couldn't lose money but he did and was pissed. I never read how his case turned out but I suspect he lost again because he wasn't the first player to figure out how to beat the lottery that came up short. As the saying goes figures don't lie but liars and fools fi

Ordering possible numbers?
Well, the Simple Builder is only checking P3 @ 1,000 combinations and with a little work could be expanded to handle P4 @ 10,000 combinations, but going to P5 JP games requires a different level of modification. I'd call it a re-write.
Once you're ready to jump up to PB MM, you're in 175 million combination territory. That will require a Far More Complex Builder.
If you do a search for lexicographic, you'll find vb code threads that relate to jackpot type games. That should give you an i

Global Lottery Solutions (G.L.S)
You posted some interesting information but my problem is when you said We must be seriously naive and brain-dead to think it is random . How can we give your math any credibility when you ignored the simple math of lotto/gambling games? Don't you know the odds always favor the house?
The cash value of the next Mega Millions drawing will be around $16 million but that includes $37.8 million already collected from the two previous drawings plus another estimated $20 million that will be played

Megaball prediction
Yeah, there's also the scratcher games like tic-tac-toe and bingo where you can look at how the boards are filled out, look for singletons that line up on a board, and with 60% probability, know whether a scratcher card is a winner. So if you could look at a stack of scratchers before buying, you could pick out the most likely winners (without scratching anything off). Here's an article about that.
