Powerball Sums
The lowest sum possible is 15 (1+2+3+4+5). The highest sum is 265 (51+52+53+54+55). Every sum in between is possible so there are a total of 251 sums possible for PB. No matter what the specific combination is, the sum has to be one of those 251 numbers. The lowest and highest sums can only result from one combination each, while other sums can result from any of hundreds, or thousands of specific combinations.
That means that the list of sums is fairly short. If you wanted a list of al

Excel? How often do the bottom 5 short sums produce hits?
ThanksRaven. Always enjoy your post.
Not sure how to interpret your numbers as of now ....but it seems like it is using the 1-27 LONG sums chart instead of the1-10 Short Sums chart (some say LDR chart).
My orginal post was looking for a confirmation (in excel perhaps) ...... that the 5 Longest OUT or (skipping) Short Sums should be filtered out ....most of the time.
It is my contention that ..... although it is a 50/50 deal with 500 numbers in the 5 longest out short sums grou

Odd versus Even
I have a problem. Logic tells me that if I summed every possible number set in a 5/39 game, there should be almost an equal amount of odd sums as well as even sums.
Well, I programmed an Excel spreadsheet to tell me just how many odd sums I would get and just how many even sums I would get. The result was astonding.
There were 171 more odd sums than even sums. I have done everything I know to find the error in my code to no avail. Is there a mathematician in the house that can tell m

Neural Net Lottery Picker
Got an idea... When looking at NNLP to make a straight guess/ find number patterns in a 6/49 game seems to be alot of mathematical heavy lifting with a huge number of possible numbers. Would it be easier for NNLP to predict something with a higher frequency of repeating, like sums? Just an idea but according to Gail Howards most probable sums page, the most common sums are between 113-181 for a 6/49 game thats 68 3 digit numbers. I would make a spreadsheet of the past winning sums, using the sum

Powerball Sums
Does anyone know how to calculate the Powerball sums? Is there anybody out there that has this list available?

how use math to get the pick 3 or 4 lottery number
As others have pointed out there is no math/magic formula, however there are different ways or perspectives of looking at the numbers that might give way to what we might think is workable solution. For example... Look at the Pick 3 Sums chart under the Resources tab here at Lottery Post you will notice that sums 12-15 have more numbers in each grouping than any of the other sums in the chart. Sums are each of the pick 3 digits added together. If you go thru the history of your pick 3 lottery wr

Some new results on some old techniques.
This is the new searching sheet. What it does, and what needs to be done to it.
First off. If the newest set of numbers contains a 0-1-4 or 9. These work a bit different. When these are in the newest past draw, they will have to be put in by hand. Like below. I know how to highlight them, but I don't know how to make them show up in the yellow and blue cells. With the top set. the 0 and 7.
Since there are no root of 0 you will have to type in the sums of 0 in the yellow cells. Just the cel

Root Sum Magic
Root sums are integral to the Pick 3/4. By default they should be just as integral to the Pick 5/6. Just a bigger matrix.
Sums also have their place, and each has its own nuances. I haven't yet posted all my latest discoveries about on the power of sums and root sums, and how they apply to the lottery, because I have been busy mastering its nuances. Just let me say that it can give you pinpoint accuracy. I will post what I can and something more extensive after I've finished my workouts.

Artificial Neural Network for CUDA
I agree, Predictor XL along with the Analyzer XL suite is more for stock forecasting. If you follow the examples it does a decent job of predicting the next days closing price, not perfect though. So far in predicting sums for pick 3 NNLP 2.1 seems to work ok it tends to predict sums 9-18 which could be nothing better than a good guess due to the high repetition of sums 1-27. At first here I have only been looking for general sums coming out within the next 10 games in back testing using 5 predi

Pick 3 - Short Sums Math
Ok when would it be a good time to play Pick 3 Short Sums or Left Digit Sums

2 = Sums 2,12,22
3 = Sums 3,13,23
4 = Sums 4,14,24
5 = Sums 5,15,25
6 = Sums 6,16,26
7 = Sums 7,17,27
8 = Sums 8,18
