The news story is not accurate. The Lotter unilaterally shut down its Florida offerings many months ago (I think it was earlier than the summer) after the Florida Lottery pushed back. However, it was and is most certainly not illegal. They just don't operate in states where the lottery is not friendly. That is a challenging sentence to read. You seem to disagree with something, but I can't tell what. A company won't do business if they are going to be constantly harassed in court and forced to spend more in legal fees that what it would take to operate there. If Florida is going to go after them even if Florida ultimately is not successful in court it makes no sense to endure that as a company.
